I''d like to find a natural black diamond to take the place of my old diamond in my old setting. A .50ct round one. I''d like to use it as a right hand ring.

Any ideas?

Thanks! Jen

Ps. Not wanting to spend a million bucks here :p

Fancydiamonds.net has black diamonds.

There are few under a carat and those just over a carat go for around $400.

Most are in-house grading and the least expensive black diamond with a GIA report is 2.86 ct and $2,300.

The vast majority of black diamonds are treated. The ones that are in house graded are most likely treated. If it is natural, it will have the GIA certificate, even at a half carat.
Natural blacks in that size can be hard to find, but still will not be terribly expensive. You will pay about 3 times the price per carat if you can find a natural one compared to one that is treated. Personally in black diamonds, I would just look for a nice stone that does not have a lot of surface cracks or abrasions, and not worry about finding one that is natural too. Go for beauty over rarity IMO.
