What music/songs/groups do you love but hate to admit it? I was making my wedding playlist today and laughed to myself when I thought of all the crazy music I listen to.

My friends and family constantly make fun of me for owning the Carpenter's Greatest Hits CD. I love that CD!

I also admit I am 29 and like boy band music.

And I like to do the Electric Slide at weddings! Oh my.

I was just looking thru my old CDs the other day, and I came across Christina Aguilera''s 1st big CD, the one w/genie in a bottle, what a girl wants... in fact most of the songs on it made it pretty big, and it was before she got a weird and stuff...

and ... i found a backstreet boys CD.

I''d completely forgotten I had these!

Nelson....you know, the twin brothers - Matthew and Gunnar.

Isn''t that horrible? I must feel comfortable (or just anomymous) on the website- I don''t usually admit this to anyone!

Gilbert O''Sullivan is another. I don''t know why but I just love his nasally voice

"Alone Again, Naturally"...

I''m actually learning this on guitar right now. This is probably one of the most wonderful songs I''ve ever heard. Its one of those songs that when you hear it you can actually feel how sad he is and almost wonder if he''s singing about true events in his own life.

I love Ministry! I saw them in concert, god, what like over 10 years ago. . .lol!. . . and they were really cool.

As far as guilty pleasure goes, there are too many bands to name. I don't feel guilty really, though as after having to endure my husband's headache inducing noise for hours on end, I DESERVE to hear some nice New Order or Joy Division.

Lately, I've been listening to Kate Bush's Hounds of Love CD while I clean the house. Again, I don't feel guilty as this music is making me a productive member of my household! Without this disc, I'd be laying on the couch reading a fashion mag. (Who cares if Kate is wearing a coat with tassles hanging off from it on her cd cover. The 80s rule!!!)

So funny... the first time my bf and I were ''listening to music'' at his apartment the cd changed after it was finished. The next song that came on was by the Backstreet Boys. He was mortified! I was hysterical.

I listen to Andrea Borcelli or Sarah Brightman, and screech opera at the top of my voice when I''m driving alone.

I think DF was refering to Joe montana looking like Barry Manilow. Lots of websites compare the likeness of two famous people. Here''s an example: twins?

much of the atypical ''80''s'' music is a guilty pleasure of mine! I do have a britney spears cd somewhere too, it''s an older one - there''s not way I would endorse her now by buying her crap!

EH I don't think it's guilty because Im pretty open and accepting of my musical taste and anyone who makes fun can shove it.

I love the song CONGA by Miami Sound Machine and my husband just cannot stand that. I don't hide it or feel ashamed by it though.

ETA:

I *heart* metal, hard rock, some alternative, all kinds of 80s and retro, HAIR BANDS are the best, and almost all classic rock. Tool, Prodigy, APC included.
