What Whiteflash solitaire setting to choose?

Hi all, I need some help in deciding what setting to choose. I've selected a 0.7c diamond from Whiteflash.

http://www.whiteflash.com/engagement-rings/solitaire/6-prong-solitaire-engagement-ring-by-vatche-1779.htm#size=6

The prongs on the Vatche seem more sleek and delicate compared to the contemporary style. But is it worth twice the price?

I like the rounder shape of the 6 prong compared to a 4 prong, but would a 6 prong be too overbearing for the carat size?

Or are there any others that I should be considering?

Thanks

My original engagement ring was a .75 round placed in a 6 prong tiffany setting. I eventually came to feel this was complete overkill, so I reset it into a 4 prong. img_1710.jpg

(My photos come out wrong direction for some reason)

They are both lovely, classic settings. The Vatche band is wider, going from 3.1mm at the top to 2.1mm at the bottom. The Tiffany style goes from 1.45mm at the top to 2.1mm at the bottom. Do you prefer a thin shank or slightly wider but still elegant? I think a six prong will be fine. If you decide on the Tiffany setting, you can ask Whiteflash to make the prongs more delicate for you. Good luck! It's going to be beautiful whichever setting you choose.

I personally dont think it's worth the extra money to get the Vatche. Besides the width of the settings being different the donuts
are also a little different but not enough to make it worth almost twice the cost IMO. What size finger does your GF have? Ask
Whiteflash for petite claw prongs when you order your setting.

If you want a 4 prong...this setting is really popular...again, ask for petite claw prongs

I don't know what finger size she has :wall: but I believe it's 4.5-5

I've asked WF if they can make the prongs thinner. Is this what you mean by petite claw prongs? Or is this something that WF is familiar with?
