I think the only people on this forum who would buy that are the same ones who post things like, “What is this and how much is it worth???” then get frustrated when the answer is “not much.”

everything like this is way over priced here in NZ - ive had a look in some of those crystal shops

id love to sit it on a shelf and admire it

This is almost certainly a dyed piece of rock and is basically worthless. Don't forget that many disreputable dealers call any corundum "natural" no matter what unnatural treatments the specimen has undergone. I'm sorry, you do not need to be an expert to tell that this is not gem-grade material. It is something you would find in a bin in a gift shop.

Gem cutter here....from the photo I don' t think that's a viable piece of rough except for maybe cabochons. I'd put a small light platform under it and just admire as part of your collection.
