Describe what kind of thank you cards you used

Well I will have a series of different thank you cards. We are not married yet so I ordered a set of 50 thank you cards from our invitation shop with our names on the front. I wanted to have some cards handy because we have been receiving cute little engagements gifts and some people have done some nice things for us so I wanted to have a way to say thank you immediately.

I will have some type of bridal themed thank yous for my bridal shower that I will also probably order from my invitation shop.

For the wedding I plan to use the thank you cards from our photographer with a picture. However, since that is 7 months from now that idea could change:)

I answered ''matched my invites'' but they were actually ''coordinated'' versus matched exactly

The vendor www.invitesite.com recommended these to me when I placed my order- they have a letterpressed ''thank you'' on the bottom and the gold is just beautiful in person. I joke that since we didn''t splurge for letterpress invites this is my little ''fix''

May thank you from InviteSite

I printed my own with one of our wedding photos on the front (in the same paper our invites were printed on).

I didn't vote although I guess like labbielove, I would say that mine somewhat coordinated with my wedding invites. I ordered very plain cards from thestationerystore.com. They were simple ivory heavy stock cards with our first names embossed at the top. Simple and elegant just like the rest of our wedding stuff and we can use the cards for things other than thank yous. I think it may have been these: http://www.thestationerystudio.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/catalog.viewProduct/productID/2692/catId/827/Clarity_Ensemble.html

I didn''t vote, either, because I made the Thank You cards. I made the STDs, then ordered formal invitations and made the TY cards (I did include pictures for each card separately, though). We had a Parisian theme throughout the wedding because of the engagement, so our TY cards were an extension of that and we did the cards in our wedding (fall) colors.

I''m being ultra british traditional.

My mother is ordering me blank cards with Mrs FI''s first name, FI''s last name printed across the top.

In the UK, the bride does all the thank-you cards herself and it''s traditional to use your new stationery with your married name on.

FMIL is very disapproving of me and FSIL as we are both quite happy to be called by our husbands names - she thinks we are failed feminists

All my family have always had these cards and for me it''s as much a part of getting married as the wedding cake.

I had engraved notes made with my married monogram and used those for wedding thank you notes, plus a lot of other correspondence.

I didn''t vote....

I ordered personalized cards that have "Mrs. and Mrs. DHFIRSTNAME LASTNAME." They are lovely. I believe we ordered from finestationary.com

we had custom cards made up with our initials on them and a little motif. The colors coincided with the wedding announcement colors. And we did not have "thank you" put on them because we wanted them to be useful for many occasions so just our initials and a little flourish on the front.
