What size spacer ring is needed?

I have a low set solitaire and a 3/4 eternity band with milgrain that I am trying to not have rub against the basket. I'm not sure if I need a wider spacer or a taller one? The l solitaire can tip back and forth and still touch the band even with a 1.4 mm round spacer. The band is about 2 mm, the solitaire is tapered from 1.2-2 mm and there is supposed to be about 1.7 mm clearance under the basket. I like the look of three distinct rings and am not trying to make the spacer discrete.

Personally I would do a wider spacer... it looks like the basket is just hitting the bottom of your basket.

I also would say a wider one.
Do you have a side view of the ER only?

I say wider too. Maybe taller would work as well. Could you order some cheap- ish sterling ones to see some other options?

Wow, gorgeous set. Please share details.

As for spacer stats I agree a 3 band district look is best (IMO) and love the separation of all the rings. I find most aesthetically pleasing bands of similar width and height.

A 2mm spacer would be perfect.

Debblazer on etsy has 10% off right now. I usually go between them and e-weddingbands for plain bands.

Thanks so much everyone for taking the time to comment! Appreciate the feedback :)

@metall @headlight @david b I'm thinking wider probably is better, too. It's nice to have that confirmed. I'll include a pic of the sideview of the solitaire.

@elizat I wondered if taller would prevent some of the tipping towards the band. That's an idea I hadn't thought of - some cheap test bands

@missy thanks! David Klass made both rings for me in Platinum. The solitaire is a .83 K SI1 Brian Gavin re-cut I bought on Loupe Troupe, and the band is .77 tcw of French cut G VS diamonds. I think I prefer three similar in width and height also. Im afraid of bumping the v's on the sides so i may go a bit shorter in height, though.

@WillyDiamond thanks for the spacer idea

@PintoBean appreciate the recommendations! Fortunately, the Etsy seller I used will do an exchange for me. It's helpful to compare prices and know what's a good price.

Side view...I think I have about 1.7-1.8 mm clearance

I'm thinking of a braided band. Would that look too busy? This is my set
