What size hoop is good for every-day wear?

I am looking to get a pair of plain white gold hoops that are simple but classic...no diamonds. What size hoop do you prefer for every-day wear? I have a small pair (maybe 1/4" diameter) right now but I'd like something a little bigger and more substantial but not something that looks like it can hold up a curtain! I am about 5'6" with a somewhat round face and I have my hair in a chin-length angled bob, if it matters.

Well, I have a fat pair that I love that are probably 3/4" and I got the same hoops in thinner 1" because I loved them so much! I can post a picture of the fat ones off, and I have a pretty bad picture of the 1" ones on. I like both looks, so it just depends on what you like best. These are both from the Roberto Coin woven collection. I have another shiny pair with thin double hoops around 3/4" that I wear a lot, too.

If your hair is longer, the pair in the second picture is perfect! With short hair I really like oval hoops rather than round and just a tiny bit smaller.

My very favorite hoops are about 3/4 inch in diameter and about 3/8 inch wide. They're substantial without being bulky. They're also extremely comfortable.

I have a couple of pairs that are about 1/2 inch in diameter and 1/4 inch wide, and I find them really small -- they don't make any kind of a statement.

I wonder if they are solid platinum.

I can just picture her on a crowded dance floor.
