What size and length should a Figaro necklace and pendant be?

Im looking for a gold Figaro necklace and pendant in remembrance of my grandpa. Ive decided on 14k gold for both a Figaro necklace and Italian horn pendant. Im a 6'2 male (190 lb) and can't figure out what is a popular chain width. Im thinking 3 mm but are chains with a pendant supposed to be smaller? Also, regarding the width of your chain how big would your pendant be? I know a lot of it depends on preference but what looks best in your opinion? Id love to hear your opinions thanks!
