I finally ordered my diamond from white flash today. I chose to set the diamond in a platinum legato sleek solitare band. While on the phone with them I inquired as to which platinum alloy they use and I believe they said they use a 950Pt-50RH alloy for their rings. After researching this alloy it seems that it is usually used in industrial applications due to the fact that it is not much harder/more durable than pure platinum.
I know that Rhodium is often used as a plating on white gold jewelry and other items (my badge is actually rhodium plated) But I have never heard of a ring made from this alloy.
Is it possible that they do use a rhodium alloy or am I mistaken.
