I attempting to write an article about natural colour diamonds and would love really appreciate any feedback from people who love them and know them best...

Particular I keep meeting women who LOVE the idea of a fancy colour diamond or colour stone in their engagement ring but men viewing this as miles away from the traditional colourless diamond they had envisioned, does anyone think this is the case for most men? Are there men out there bucking the trend or are they taking hints(or orders) from their girlfriends, partners or their friends and family?

I'm also interested in understanding what motivates people to buy natural fancy colour diamonds over cheaper but quality stones like emeralds and sapphires?

Do colour diamonds hold the same symbolic association with love as colourless diamonds - and is a tiny pink diamond more special than a large tanzanite? It would be great to understand your expert views and pereferences:)

What do you think?

Many thanks,

Frances:)

Diamonds have a symbolic representation for true love. Honestly the word 'diamond' appeals people more than emerald or sapphires. Sounds stupid but that's the way it is! Moreover the colored diamonds are rarer than the colorless diamonds. So the colored diamonds seem more special.
