Does it need to be long term posters or just posters you''re interested in hearing more about?

I''m not sure...the description for the forum says it''s for "experts & regulars," but who knows what constitutes either of those things on PS. All new threads have to be approved, so I guess that would be a good indication of whether or not your PSer subject is allowed. I have seen some fairly "new" PSers featured on there that just post a lot so I think it''s up to the moderators.

I think anyone can ask to post about anyone. But, the mods ask the person first if they want to be posted about, if they say no, then I think that''s the only reason you couldn''t.

I''ve been wondering the same thing myself...and, I think there is a distinction between "expert" and "regular" (I am definitely not the former, but could possibly fall into the latter category..)

That seems to be the case, in combination with the "okay" from the person being "called."

On a more general note, I've always wondered why certain members were asked about and not others. I've always wondered why certain members were asked about and not others. Most of the people I tend to be curious about have never been mentioned in 'Who's Who.'

Part of the reason could be, because of what I posted. I''ve been asked a couple times if someone could do a thread on me, but I politely declined.

I think people request that the moderators add someone they''re interested in? In that case, Musey, you could ask about the ones you''ve been wondering about!

Yeah...I don''t think anyone would ask to start a Who''s Who? on a PSer who doesn''t post very often. I think most PSers are very interesting, so they could potentially have WW threads about them, but I do understand the lack of desire of someone to want to post their life story on a public forum such as this.

musey, just send the mods a list

While we''re at it, RZ and violet, you are actually two of the people I''ve questioned the absence of on WW. Feel special?

Wow! Things have become complicated over time! In the old days no one asked for permission! I know that someone started a thread on me and I just saw it up there.... In turn I started a thread on anyone about whom I took a fancy to write about! I guess this is civilization! Freud said that it brought with it discontents.... ;-)

Yes, things have changed. I was in there about three years back and then asked Leonard to delete the thread because I had posted a bunch of photos of my kids and later began to worry about privacy issues and personal subject matters I had posted. Now, there are so many more members here on PS that I'm very glad for making that request and that it was honored.

ETA - Years back Leonard & Irina gave members pins with a spiderweb and a diamond in the middle and one day I wore mine to Barnes and Noble and a woman in the store sat and stared at it as if she recongized something familiar about it! That is another reason why I asked for my WW to be removed. You never know if your next door neighbor is reading PS and what if you post in the "do you know your next door neighbor" thread that you cannot stand that person??? lol Gotta keep a bit of privacy.

Yes, that is kind of a concern for me (for obvious reasons)... perhaps I should swap my avatar out...
I live in a fairly small country town, but it is a global world these days, is it not?
If I see anyone grinning at me strangely in the supermarket, perhaps I''ll take it down...

seriously though there's someone i want to ask about on there... maybe i should just go post the thread. I had this person in mind for the last week or so.

This is great info! So I'm going to give it a shot and we'll see if they are in or out!

ETA: I just tried so we'll see if it gets approved or not.

And I'll have you know, I had a perfume sample come in the mail. It made me want to rush right out and buy it. I haven't yet, will most likely tell hubby to give it to me for my b-day, since he never knows what to get me. So there.
