Tulips, there are many Singaporean members, but they might not notice this thread. Maybe you should get their attention by starting a new thread called "Singaporeans, please help with ring size" or something like that.

Singapore''s ring sizing usually follows HK sizing so 13 = US size 6. But just to be kiasu please measure the diameter of the ring, it should be 16.51mm

if you have a tiffany''s near you that would be the best way to check they have us sizing :)

i have a size stick and from it 13= 6.5 or M or 53mm

Thanks so much,, my PS friends... i was so worried that no one helps me when I posted the thread.. but i was wrong.. thanks ya! now I can go ahead with the setting ...hehehe

Hi all

I think I will do a size 6.. if it is too tight, then I will go on diet..
if it is too loose, then I will wear it on my right hand instead of left..

Tulips, I had one of my rings made by a SG jeweller and it was sized at 9.50 Singapore; and my ring size is usually 4.50 US in the summer/ hot and humid climate. SG sizes differ very slightly from HK sizes, perhaps by half a size, though I don't remember which way round.

If I remember correctly, every half a size increase in SG sizes equals to a quarter of a size increase in US, so a SG 13 should be US 6.25.

I second what s.o. else said about going to Tiffany's (there's one in Ngee Ann City and another at Raffles Hotel). Go and try their rings and figure out which fits you best. However, Tiffany's do not do quarter sizes, they go up only in half size increments. So, you are really are a 6.25, you might find their 6 a tad too small and a 6.50 a tad too big. If that is the case, ask your vendor/ setter to do size 6.25 for you.

Just FYI, I should do all my LH rings at 4.25 as that is my true size, but I buy Tiffany's 4.50 and when I have my rings custom-made, I also ask for 4.50 as i like my rings a bit loose - which suited me fine in SG but now I'm in Shanghai, they'll be *really* loose in the winter. Hopefully, they won't come off when I take off my gloves, God forbid!

. So if you are really a 6.25 or maybe even a 6.50 after all, then a size 6 would be very uncomfortable for you, I would think. If you plan to wear the ring mostly in SG, i'd do a 6.25 or even a 6.50 but not a 6. There was one time when I was 4-5 kgs heavier than I am now, I really struggled to put my rings on and take them off

, again even though all my rings are a quarter size larger than my true size. Just something to think about.

You'll find that a lot of women on PS and also IRL (or at least this is what I've observed) have their e-ring sizes averaging around 5-7 (or maybe we can ask our resident expert on statistics DF to tell us, LOL - DF, are you out there?

).

Your (ie. one's) height and weight have little correlation with your ering size. You know, it's funny, a lot of guys come to PS asking us for to guess their GFs' sizes and they tell us the GFs' weights and heights but you can only guesstimate and the guesses can be quite off. I have friends who are taller than me (almost everyone is taller than I am, LOL) and their ering size is about 3-4. On the other hand, I've got a friend who is 4'9" and who wears a size 6. Oh, come to think of it, my sister is *exactly* like that too.

Don't worry, I'd think yr fingers are perfectly normal-sized.

(ETA: I know what you mean about it being so hard to lose weight and so easy to put on. Last year, I weighed about 54kg and am a lot shorter than you! Took me quite a while to lose the extra weight. Your weight and height are just right - in fact, I'd say you're nice and slim and tall).

Phoenix.... my dear phoenix.. you made my day!!!
