What is an 8-star diamond?

My interest is fluffed from the post regarding possible negotiations on an 8* diamond! I need to know from someone in THEKNOW. Is this some kind of "Holy Grail" dimaond? What is the best of the best?

I think they are nice...their website says they are the "original" though in a different class from hearts and arrows, and from what i have researched i tend to agree, however i have only seen a HoF diamond in person and everyone has their own different opinion www.eightstar.com

I have only seen a couple of these stones. They were very attractive. The advertising and hype says they are perfectly cut and apparently this is factual. They are cut without cutting faults.

However, they are cut a little differently than nearly every other diamond in order to make them into a particular "brand" and to give thema little bit different look. I think they have succeeded in making both the unique look and consistency necessary to call them a brand.

Will you like them more than any other finely cut diamond? Will you pay a premium price for one? Will you appreciate their special look and cut or not?

I visited their website and inquired where I might find their diamonds. They gave me a prompt reply and the nearest town. I am thinking of checking them out. I'll let y'all know how it goes. Much to the delight of my fiance, I have been bitten by the diamond bug.

Sorry to digress, but I can't help making a comment..

So, strmrdr, is it the diamond bug that started it off or is it its cousin?

For me the colored gem bug 'infected' me with the diamond bug.
