I was in a jewelry store with a friend of mine looking at e-rings today and saw a ring that was advertised to be "calla cut".. At first glance it looked like 4 marquise diamonds made up the center stone.. But then they sort of looked round. I have no clue! Can someone explain it to me?? Thanks!

It looks sort of like a flower. Not sure the technical cut aspects.

Here is a link to Catmom''s beautiful Calla pendant.

Thanks for showing my pendant, Fly Girl!

I am not a huge fan of Marquise cut (unless set E to W), but I love Calla cut diamonds! They are pretty similar...I just love the floral look to them when set in jewelry!

Catmom, I love your pendant

I can certainly see why the solitaire pendant sat in the box after you received this beauty. I take it that this is the one you put on daily. So lovely!

but certainly a lot. Thanks so much Diamond*Dana and Gwen!!

Heather, the Calla cut is supposed to look like a Calla Lily. It really looks like a very fat, rounded marquis. For more info, you can Google Calla Cut Diamonds you will see thier website which talks about the designer and shows the cut itself as well as the various designs.
