Where are you located?
Both GIA and AGS are thought to be reliable for colour and clarity grading, AGS is the only lab to grade Princess for cut quality at this time, so if you chose to send the diamond to GIA it wouldn't get a cut grade, just the basic measurements, colour and clarity. Sorry - yes I am in Canada. I live in a small northern town with one jeweller, and I don't think they handle alot of diamonds. The wholesaler that they use is in a larger center in Canada. Just not sure if the wholesaler should be sending the diamonds out for GIA / AGS certs, or would my retailer do that? And again, which certifing body is better for princess stones.
