What do you think of this pad-colored spinel?

Color is very nice, but I would fear it be hardly seen in such a size.
Especially when it comes to a pendant, I advise rather big stones, in spinels yyou may find some really nice ones for a reasonable price.
I would rather go for a much bigger pink...

yes on the photo the central area is transparent so this is a window.
and there are these dark areas near the window which are, you are correct, some bowtie/extinction.

But usually the window extinction should be judge while tilting the stone lets say 10 degres around the axis perpendicular to the table. The actual window and extinction will be the minimum seen while tilting the gem...

If you added diamonds around it would make a larger pendent and really set the stone off. If diamonds are a little much $$ you could go with white sapphire or white zircon and still have natural stones. Could even set it into a gold mounting of choice with swirls or something to make it more noticable instead of just a solitare mount.

I love spinel of all colors.Just can''t have enough of them..
