Hello!

Based on the figures which you posted, I would definitely not consider this diamond.

I put the stats into the HCA - which is a great tool for weeding out diamonds not worthy of consideration. This stone only scored an overall visual performance of 'Fair', or 6.3.

Ideally you should aim for a score of somewhere between 1 and 2, for the best visual performance from a diamond.

Breaking it down, the HCA scored the stone as follows: Light return: good, Fire: poor, Scintillation: poor and Spread: very good.

I'm sorry if this is disappointing for you. You probably know that PS members are all about getting the very best possible cut for a diamond, to maximise its performance, ie giving the most light return, fire and scintillation possible.

If you can give us an idea of your budget for the stone, and the size, colour and clarity range you are looking at, we might be able to suggest some really great alternative stones for you to consider.

The diamond has a large Table and a poor spread for the weight.

Thanks for the input. This was not a diamond that I was considering but someone was trying to sell me this. I didn''t think it was a good diamond to start off with but thoguht I post it to get some opinions.

The was an EGL certified diamond.

Your comments basically support why I turned it down.
