I have been searching for a while for the ring of my dreams. We are almost there, but have expanded the search to include the stone, also. I have seen the diamond below, and it''s lovely. It faces up very large. Please feel free to share your opinion on what you think of it, and do you think this would be a good choice? Also, what do you think of the price? We are looking at a custom split shank ring.

I would ask for more pics, but being no pics are shown, I don''t think it''s a stone they have in stock. Engagementringsdirect.com seems to have some great feedback for cushions. I think most of the PSers trust Mark to pick out their cushions. Good Luck!

i would definately want to see pictures, otherwise how could you possilbly know if it is at all a pretty stone! and, i would want to know why it only got one star rating from WF. there is a lot of positive feedback on PS regarding mark at ERD (engagementringsdirect.com) and his eye for cushions.

From what I understand, WF gives 1 star ratings to stones that they don''t have in house.

That cushion has a HUGE table and is cut VERY shallow. If you hadn''t said that you''ve seen it in person and thought it was lovely, I''d tell you to keep looking. Actually, I''m going to tell you to keep looking anyway.

Try to find a cushion with a table in the mid 50''s and depth in the mid-60''s with at least very good polish and symmetry--and then compare that to the one that you''ve linked.

If you love the stone and think it performs well, then by all means go for it! But I''d hate for you to buy a stone that doesn''t perform as well as it could.

Also, a lot of us here have gotten our cushions from Mark at ERD. He is known as the cushion guy. If searching for the right cushion gets too overwhelming, then by all means give him a call! He is w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l!

is the depth really 50? that''s shallow...

Edit: I answered my own question. I suck at the internet sometimes.

The numbers are not the best on paper. But it''s hard to tell for sure without seeing it in person. If you can provide pictures we can give you a better guess...

But just based on those numbers, I wouldn''t buy it myself...
