I REALLY want a set of 1/3 ready set go from whiteflash...but they only have 1/4 and .5...and there is a huge price difference between the sams club ones and the white flash ones

If it was me I''d spend the extra and get the WF''s. IGI grading tends to be more lax than AGS or GIA, so the stones mat well be I1''s and lower color. Plus my own experience with diamonds from Sam''s is they tend to be poorly cut. They won''t have nearly the sparkle of well cut stones.

From my research for earrings, lots of women find those screwbacks uncomfortable to wear longterm. Your Whiteflash rep can help you get a secure but comfortable earring post, I forget what she called them now. I would not buy any screwbacks unless you are 100% sure on how they feel.

The whiteflash ones are definitely over budget. I would really like to go with a 1/3 size, but they are hard to find. Blue nile has them...but they are H in color and I am afraid they will look crappy.

This is so hard!

afraid of the H color?

Afraid of the H color looking crappy? The Sam''s Club studs you posted have a minimum of G or H color, right?

I wouldn''t worry about H color on your ears. I doubt it will bother you as much as you think they will. I would definitely go for Blue Nile over Sam''s Club

I went to Sam''s Club today and found another pair that I really like...

.61 total carat weight
F Color
SI2
Good clarity
Good cut

And yes, it was an IGI appraisal that was done...it says they are worth $1,990...but they were on sale for $497.

From what I could see - they were GORGEOUS and clear and faced up super duper white.

You know, if you saw them and loved them then you should just go for them.

Ditto this. But keep in mind that Costco & Sams Club have AMAZING lighting and every diamond regardless of cut looks gorgeous in those stores! I don't mind being dragged there by DH on a crowded weekend just because I know I'll be able to admire some amazing fireworks with my diamond! Check the return policy so that once you bring them home and they don't perform as beautifully as you thought, you can get a refund.

I can vouch for WF earrings though. They are so stunning, even the smaller ones. You could also ask WF what the price options are for a slighter higher carat total weight.

ETA: You could go down to a AGS/GIA 'I or J' color and it won't look "crappy" at all. If you are color sensitive, maybe stick to a low H or high I, but it really comes down to the cut of the diamond on how it performs.

Strange! If you are afraid that H color look crappy don't buy an SI2 IGI certified!

I bought a pair of studs for my GF last xmas. I initially bought the .75 from blue nile for about 1k, when I took them to a local jeweler to get appraised, he was able to give me larger diamonds for the same price. Also his were supposed to be better quality. With both having a return policy, I bought the second pair and took them home to examine. In all cases i always picked the local jewelers'' as the brighter pair.

To this day she hasnt taken them off except to clean and they are screw backs so no problem there. My initial budget was $500 and in the end i doubled it... but with the amount of use, attention and love she''s given them, in the long run i think spending a little more is worth it!

If you feel you love sam''s club ones, see if they can be returned. Buy them and take them to a local jeweler to get appraised.
