Hey girls!!!!

So I got some great news a few weeks ago! My photographer called and said that a makeup/hair artist friend of hers contacted her about taking some "creative bridal" shots for her portfolio, and she agreed to do it onthe condition that my hubby and I are the models!!!!

She felt so bad about my back at the wedding and that we didn''t get as many fun pics as we wanted so she thought this would be a nice option!

They want to take the pics in January so there will hopefully be snow, but I think I should get something to wear over my shoulders for at least a few of the pics (and for in between), so I''m coming here for suggestions!

I am not really the fur stole/cape type of girl, and I think they want the pics to be less traditional than that, so I''m thinking of maybe more creative options.

I will attach a picture of my dress for anyone who doesn''t know what it looks like...

TIA!

Yah Octoberbride, that's awesome news! What about something fun and bright like this warm and fuzzy chenille scarf/wrap?

Oohh that is really nice! Looks warm and would be a good addition of colour eh?

Thanks pocahontas!

You're welcome

I think the addition of colour would be awesome against your dress and the snowy background!

If you're looking for a few different looks, what about this as another option? I'm thinking gloves in a colour to match your dress, but with a bright coloured shawl instead of the cream they have pictured here.

I love, love, love Emily Rohm on Etsy. Her stuff is soooo cool! Here's a jacket that I think would be fun (and warm)!

Oooh that is so pretty!! If I was actually getting married in the winter, I would so go for that!! I don''t think I want to spend too much on it though because it is just for fun pictures. I was hoping more for something that I could either wear again or something that wasn''t too pricy so I wouldn''t feel bad about it!

Thanks for the input - any other suggestions?

I wore an ivory wrap. It''s not the most stylish thing ever, but easy to fold up if I wanted it shorter or longer.

My friend wore a 3/4 sleeve short (above the waste) white fur tiny jacket. so pretty!

not the warmest thing but sooo cute.

Great question Octoberbride! I have similar need for something to keep me (slightly) warm if we decide to take a few outside photos after the ceremony. I see lots of white fur and faux fur options on Google, but I think I''m going to go with something very understated like a Pashmina shawl in some pale color (maybe very pale pink).

I would also love to see what others have done though!
