I was looking at my Scottish Grandmother's 1920s five stone engagement ring. I can see the remnants of engravings and some beautiful filigree. Is there a way to find out what it may have looked like back when it was made, before all the engravings were rubbed off. Perhaps a catalogue of popular styles around that time period? One day I'd like to restore it.

Please post a photo of the ring

Post a few shots! We love pictures!
There is an antique restorer with the name of CJD Sako(Cicada Jewelry Design) on Instagram
David Klass is another jeweler who has master engravers who could repair/restore.
There are many jewelers who will be able to help when the time comes :))
