What cut is this diamond?

Hello all,

I bought this ring on Ebay in the last 7 seconds of the listing after 2 glasses of wine. Thankfully it was from a PS recommended vendor, and I think it is more beautiful than the listing showed. Unfortunately I didn't realize it was 3 sizes too big until after.

Anyway, the listing doesn't specify, so I am hoping ya'll can weigh in on what cut the main diamond is. It doesn't look all that "flowery" to me, but in truth I'm clueless. Sorry if the pics aren't great.

Haha, thanks! I was a little surprised that I won, but got a great deal I think. The listing says. 80ct and 14k gold. I paid 265. I'm hoping it can be sized down reasonably, but if not I may go in a different direction and have DK make a bangle out of it.

Is there a culet? Just from these pictures to me it looks OEC. See if you can get a picture of it on a table with the camera zoomed in to the stone and then snap a pic.

No culet. The listing said .3ct center and .5ct total of the 10 smaller stones. Hope these pics are better.

Gosh @Mrs_Strizzle it's just so pretty. I can't tell if there is a little "hole" in the center of the middle diamond, if so then I say OEC if not then it might be transitional. Either way really a nice piece and a steal.

Looks like OEC as I can't see much of a culet on the main stone, but the flashes look chunky and delicious!

Hard to tell if OEC with teeny culet or tranny but chunky facets either way so a good score!

Here is an idea, after you get it take it to a trusted jeweler and have the prongs checked (super important with old jewelry) and while you're there see if you can casually pick their brain. You'd be surprised how much you can find out!
