Hey guys im new here and this will be my first time buying a ring, so i really need some help all this gets to be really confusing. Here is my situation...im going to order my soon to be finance''s ring from excel diamonds as i feel they are the nicest and cheapest from what i hear, im going to get the Tiffany inspired nova ring with a cushion cut, what im trying to figure out what color and clarity diamond to get, does anyone know what the accent diamonds color are? or do i have to match or go higher than that color for it to look right? I know i want a 1ct or higher but my max budget is 4,000. Any ideas? Or does anyone have one? Thanks for any help! Any suggestions on size color and clarity with in my price range would be of great help.

Here is the setting: Tiffany setting

I see now that the accent diamonds are G so do I need to match that color or will be ok with a I or J?

Ooops. Just saw you wanted to go with Excel. Should read more carefully.

I'd look at .80-.90 carats, H-I-J eyeclean SI with an AGS 0 light performance.

And yes, an I or J will look alright with the melee being G.

I should be ok. 2 grades color difference is acceptable.

Ok thankyou so much i just didnt know if for some reason i had to match those accents or if would be eyeclean but you helped me out thanks! Any other suggestions anybody?

Wow i love this site already it hasnt even been 2min and you all have helped me out thanks so much!

HI and welcome, I love this setting. My comfort zone is G, H, I or even a J. The cut is key so look for stones that meet the ideal proportions AGS O etc....

If you can tell us your budget that would help too...

Thanks kaleigh my budget is 4,000 total got any suggestions?
