Hey guys, very new to this and dont know much at all! i want to buy my girlfriend an engagement ring and i found one that looks nice but want to see what you guys thoughts are on it ?

the GIA report number is 5182129695

it looks similar to this the style of the ring is like this https://www.instagram.com/p/BFSDBkuJGkf/ if it makes much difference.

I mainly want to know that at that clarity of VS2 can someone tell if it will be eye clean?

The report looks good. Ovals are fancy cuts; you can’t judge a fancy cut on its cert, alone. You’ll need photos, videos, ASET images, and, if at all possible, up close & personal examination to determine if this oval meets your criterion.

Agree with @Matthews1127 . You need a video and ASET to review a oval. With not meaning any disrespect to the vendor, I have not been impressed in the ovals she posts on her Instagram. I'd really encourage you to open yourself to other vendors for the diamond.

This VS could be eyeclean or not. It will depend on if those crystals are black or even a dense white.

Looking online, a ring with that GIA was posted on a Australian version of Craigslist called Gumtree. Looks like a LaurenB setting. Very odd.

There are the only super-ideal ovals on the market. They will be stunning. AVI is knows for his focus on high performing diamonds and great eye.

OP, do you have a sweet spot for l x w ratio? Ovals come in so many shapes & sizes. Do you prefer fatter ovals, or more slender ovals?

Yes i actually saw it on gumtree, the seller agreed to 8k aud which seems good to me, but not knowing anything about diamonds i dont want to make an impulse buy on something so important.

no i do not really have a preference on the shape tbh, just something nice!

i would prefer D, E or F color though, as i read the color ks noticeable and I dont want the mrs to get mad
