I bought eons ago a pair of these "Baldo spring shoes" from a friend that was in Europe but were too small for her ( she got them as a present ) and man oh man, they are just soooooo fabulously comfy!!! Now they are way old and I need a new pair. I hate the fact that there are NO US distributors and I have to order them from a shop in Italy. It's mucho for the shipping unfortunately. But on the other hand, they are so very well made that they last a loooooong time ( my last pair lasted me 6 years! ) I have had the sole replaced 3 times but now they look so tired and the top leather lost their shape and look like a baked potato lol...

i wore them EVERY day - I didnt care if they didnt match my outfits, all I cared about what how my feet felt and they were fabulous. I do have a pair of Dansko shoes, but they are just not the same as my beloved Baldo

so I am going to bit the bullet and spend money on a new pair ( maybe 2 so I can save on combined shipping )...

Anyone has a pair that they cannot get rid of or live without?

any flats. I love flats, and I shouldn''t b/c I''m short, but I do. I have black flats, brown flats, a pair of striped flats, now I want a bunch of other colors. They are comfortable, and I can match them up with tons of things.

Oh these are pretty!!! :)

Favorite-all-the-time shoes: My Chucks. And ballet flats.

Favorite-summer-''09 shoes: Def my Les_Lolitas sandals...bought a couple different pairs and wore them practically the entire summer.

Amethyste: How do you buy those shoes? When my son was in the hospital, he had a nurse who wore some tennis shoes that had springs. They were a little odd looking but she swore by them. They look comfy but how do you wear them in real life?

Unfortunately, there is no USA distributor so I am going through one in Italy. you have to email them your address, the shoes you want and the size. They will then send you an invoice and you have to pay them through paypal, then they'll ship. They are quite pricey, but they last forever... Here is their website:

Baldo Shoes - Italy.

They took me about 3 days to feel that I was in balance with the shoes, but lemme tell you, they are sooooo comfortable!!! Once you slide a pair on, nothing else will ever comoe close to it... :) I hope it helps.

My Reef Sandals. They aren''t the most fabulous looking shoes I own but as far as flip flops go they are made by gods. I swear by them and have gotten so many other people hooked on them. They have amazing soles with arch support! I have super high arches so most flip flops make my feet hurt. I could seriously do a week of themeparks in these shoes (haha idk why but when I think of walking around ALL DAY theme parks are always what come to mind) I currently own them in black, brown, copper, and blue. (They come in way more colors than on the reef website) I have never gotten a blister from these shoes and I''ve been wearing this brand for 4 years now. I can''t wear any other brand of flip flops any more, they''re just way too uncomfortable.

I recommend them to pretty much everyone I know (including now the hundreds of people on price scope

) I should be a spokesperson for them.

Mmm this thread is tempting me to buy another pair now... I might have to do some online shopping later.

Top five shoes I can't live without (I've had more than one pair of each of the below):

1. Black Lanvin flats
2. Purple Chucks
3. Tan Rainbow flip flops
4. Black patent Prada Linea Rosa wedges
5. Chestnut Uggs

Ummmmm....ALL of them!

I wear a size 5 shoe and it is so hard for me to go out and buy a pair of shoes from an actual store. I have such a hard time parting with any of my shoes because of it so I have so many pairs - some too old to even wear but I still cannot seem to get rid of them for good.

I recently discovered Zappos.com and man oh man! Good thing I don''t know any of my cc numbers by heart or I''d be in some serious trouble!

My crocs flip flops. More comfy than any other shoes I''ve ever owned. I even wear them with skirts.

I have 3 pair of the same sandal flats. Two in chocolate brown and one in purple. They are suede and have emboridery and sequins over the tops. They are unbelievably comfortable and you can dress them up or down. They''re wonderful. I only wish I''d bought 3 more pairs.

Thank Amethyste! I pulled up their site. Interesting. How do you wear them, like with jeans and casual? My husband and I were shopping today
and I was telling him about your beautiful ring, the most beautiful I have ever seen I think. It has a neat story to go with it. I just showed him
your thread. I never get tired of looking at it!

I like reef sandals too. I had plantar fasciitis a while back and they really helped. I am a SAHM, in CA so I pretty much wear sandal most of the year.

I would love to have a pair of the new Cole Haan heels that are made as comfort shoes. They look great.

I have also worn out several pairs of Dansko''s but the last pair had something funky with them and they actually hurt my toes. Those are winter
shoes with long jeans for me but they are comfy and last forever.

HI:

Two pair of really old mules--black Prada and metallic/silver Nine West; especailly the latter as someone always stops me to ask about them! Finally had to retire my blue beaded Le Chateau mules, as they were a scandel yet still got compliments!

cheers--Sharon

Mine are brown platform sandals. They are sooo comfortable and make me a more respectable height (I'm very petite).

Runners-up: tan suede "Indian scout" (DH's term) wedge-heel boots, brown knee-high Western-style boots, taupe Aldo wedge sandals, Aldo ivory patent four-inch heels, and two pairs of kitten-heel sandals with the softest leather straps.

ETA: I used to have these taupe mules with 3.5" heels that were perfect with everything and so comfy. I even occasionally wore them giving tours on campus in college. I had to retire them a few years ago because they were so worn, but I'm still mourning their loss.

my spring and summer BIRKENSTOCK sandals. With my bad back, these sandals are soooo comfy on my back

this is going to sound weird - but I have an old (7 years? more?) pair of mossimo shoes I bought at target of all places. They are leather and were just everso slightly tight when i got them but they fit me like a glove now and I hardly ever wear them because they are just so perfect I''m afraid they''ll wear out lol They are just black slip on shoes with a rubber sole and a square toe - they''re extremely plain and go with pants so well and as I said they are the most comfortable thing. When I put these on that "like a glove" always comes into my mind. I have nicer shoes, more expensive shoes, shoes that are comfortable for other things... but these shoes - I cannot part with them!!!!

Believe it or not I still have and wear my Frye boots that I bought in 1980 (almost 30 years ago!). They have been resoled twice, but other than that in perfect shape. Sometimes DD wears them and at atimes we fight over who gets them.

My 7 year old Danskos. I refuse to part with them.

I had to think about that for a while. I have too many shoes....

I''ve had these Donald Pliner sandals for about 5-7 years. They are sooo comfy and seem to work with so much. I know they are not the latest, but they just work!

Another Dansko fan here! I wear the lolitas all summer, have them in sage, paprika, and black, and the backed clogs all winter. One old pair that lace up and look like wingtips are the best, not sure if they are made anymore. I do have to special order b/c size 9.5AA is a bit hard to find.

Awwww THank you so much for your sweet comment about my ring - I love it so as well... I wish that ther ewould be more than 24 hour is a day to enjoy it more :)

As for the "Baldo", I wear them with my skirts and long dresses. I dont own ANY pants, so I wouldnt know how they would look with jeans - but they are pretty casual looking, so I think it would work well...

Thanks again for your words, you are a sweet lady :)
