Just returned from a very, very long drive to look at a house we really loved but thought was much too far away. And it is indeed much too far away! I don't even know what we'd do out there! I'd probably become a hermit. But, wow, it was a beautiful place.

Ooh, I’ve thought about trying Rosetta Stone. I hope you’ll share your progress with us as you learn. :D What made you chose Gaelic?

I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Ireland with my sons and planning another with DH in a few years. The language was intriguing and it is among the 24 languages available on the RS package I bought on Amazon Prime Day.

That's awesome! I'm glad your trip inspired you. Next time you go, you'll be able to keep up with the locals.

With the pandemic and all the chaos that is happening sometimes I think we'd be better off far away from others....
With one caveat. I cannot be too far from Costco.

I also thought that, but then the reality set in when I realized there was probably no Uber Eats out there.

I was just talking to my parents about Costco (Taiwan)! They have the most amazing food in the food court. My parents shared a cheeseburger (which they compared to InNout burgers in California) and garlic fried chicken and a corn chowder!!!!! That is so unfair! They have the most amazing menu at Costco, even during the pandemic!

Wow, that is great that your parents live in a safe from pandemic area and can enjoy Costco food again. I agree their food is pretty good! the Costco near us has stopped serving all food and honestly I hope it stays that way til the pandemic is over. They started handing out samples the other week and I was shocked but fortunately that seems to have stopped.

I am also pleased the lines to get in to the store are gone for the most part but I know they very well might come back should the second wave get bad. So we shall see. Even at the worst so far Costco has remained a port in the storm. Even while being out of many supplies it is comforting to know they continue being here for all their customers.

I really love Costco and would think twice about moving somewhere there was no Costco nearby. I wasn't being funny as much as truthful but there is humor in it to be sure. I mean how many people have needing Costco nearby as their deal breaker for moving? LOL.

I'd NEVER move anywhere without a local Costco, Trader Joe's and a large Mexican-American community!

Oh, and about all that so-called "food" sold at Costco's food courts ... all of it is very unhealthy.
Sodium, HFCS, unpronounceable chemical preservatives, grease, white flour! :knockout:
I wouldn't feed that poison to my worst enemy.

But hey, people vary, so ... enjoy ... chow down!
Endorphins from "foods" are what the vast majority are addicted to.

Funny you say that. My parents lead a very healthy lifestyle, and their Costco purchases were Quinoa, fish filets and supplements. My mom is all about eating healthy. She makes her own yogurt, breads, and cooks 95% of her meals from scratch, hardly ever eats take out...but their 1x a month trip to Costco almost always needs to include dining at the food court! It's their splurge or cheat day :)

Just finished another bag. This pattern is a doozy! Had to bust out my 201 to get through the thick parts. I'm glad I went with the quilting cotton vs the vinyl on the sides. 1603307382990.png

Sorry for the blurry pic. It’s challenging taking photos while cycling lol.

Just finished watching Dumplin’ on Netflix while doing a French polish on my daughter. Now waiting for 2nd load of washing to finish so I can hang it out. We are flat out tomorrow morning & I’ll still need to wash linen in the morning.
Polish looks cute! 36510419-E828-4E76-A668-82D26053EE60.jpeg

Changing a flat tire. More accurately Greg’s changing it lol. It’s always the rear wheel which is more challenging to change.

Just got clothes I ordered from the Children’s Place and contemplating whether I take off the labels and plastic now or wait.....
Also trying to decide what I can make for the kids in 30 minutes for when they get back from school. Pasta, I’m thinking pasta.

Just voted today!
We splurged & got chick-fil-a to go
& got cozy to watch unexplained mysteries on netflix.

I've been surfing Etsy all day trying to find a happy medium between quality, comfort, style, & price when it comes to handmade headbands.

Tonight hubs made salmon & we all scarfed it down & now I'm just enjoying my "me" time with a bit of icecream & a book....& PS of course!

Bored to death bc hubby is making me watch World Series 9EC64E2D-64DB-4975-A226-AFDBEB4943F9.jpeg

Haha I am so out of it. I didn't even realize it was World Series time.:loopy:
I am very happy and grateful Greg isn't interested in watching sports on TV.

I wish you could come over here @nala and watch something on Netflix with us. Or better yet we could play with our bling. I would love to drool over your beautiful new ER in person.

Got up at the normal time, however, the clock went back an hour, so the house was cold as the heating had not kicked in.

Early breakfast, and I am waiting for the roast chicken thighs for the pets to cool down before I stripe them (the crispy skins are mine, all mine!).

Most likely to go back to bed for a snooze as per usual on a Sunday, before going out into town to walk the dog and pop into the pub for a quick drink, before going home to cook dinner.

A lazy Sunday as per usual.

DK :))
