What are some good examples of men''s rings? I am a "country boy" at heart and I don''t think I quite fit the persona of a business man in a suit. I haven''t really looked that hard, but I have glanced at some rings for men in locall jewelry stores and to be honest, I don''t really see anything that would work for me. I like white gold, or stainless, no yellow gold. I like platinum but the price is gonna pretty much cut that out for me

. I love diamonds, and I would like to have one or maybe a couple in my wedding band when the time comes. I like to be different, I just don''t care for the plain old gold band that most working men wear. I do work with my hands, I am a tool maker (machinist), but I do respect my jewelry. I switch between a rolex gmt master 2 and a tag heuer most days. Both of those watches I have worn for a couple of years and they still look very nice. Mainly I don''t want something too elaborate. Just something that looks nice with a wide band-between 6 and 7mm.

Anybody have anything something like that here? Ideas? Please post pics if you have any. Thanks

J. S. Machine,

My hubby has two rings. Although it''s yellow gold, his "dress" ring has 5 diamonds and he wears this when he wants to be dressy. His main ring though is a tungsten band that he just loves. It''s scratch and ding proof which he really likes and it just looks good on his hand. He has said that he likes it because it is really masculine looking. You might want to check out some of tunsten or titanium bands, too.

I''ve always liked this one with one single diamond. It''s available on Blue Nile''s site.

If you work with you hands, die-struck rings are are probably the sturdiest. But they are also pricier. Here are some examples of die-struck men''s rings. These are also good examples of men''s bands with engravings.

Look for the rings under VAN CRAEYNEST BANDS, anything labeled "GENTS"

Maisie, I took it that he was asking about rings with diamonds, too. I just wanted to show him the tungsten in case he wanted two rings like my husband; one with diamonds for dressier and one for days when he is working with his hands. I don''t think you got muddled at all!
