Hello everyone!

I was wondering if any of you guys can help me out with this. I am undecided on my setting. I just asked my BF if he can choose so that I don''t have to decide but he keeps on telling me to just choose! I have selected a diamond from WF but I have my heart set on getting a platinum setting.

I was first interested in the Tiffany knife edge but then I saw the Tiffany simple setting here and liked that too. I love the classic look but like the pave and diamonds look too.

What do you guys suggest? If I choose a setting with diamonds on it should I stick to platinum or go with white gold? Our budget is at least 1300 for the setting.

Thanks...

Can you go into a B&M store and try some on? That is the best way to pinpoint a style you like.

Today I went to Tiffany''s and I tried their Tiffany setting and I loved it!

I also tried their channel setting and loved that too. I guess that my concern is that if I choose white gold for the channel set, I am afraid that the diamonds will fall out.

I had always thought that platinum was more stronger in holding the diamonds than white gold. I have a white gold band and one of the diamonds fell out. Maybe because the band is from macy''s and not from WF.

I LOVE all the gorgeous pave settings but I keep hearing about people having problems with stones falling out.

Channel set diamonds, especially form WF, are not going to fall out.

But I think she likes channel set over pave. I''ve never heard of a well made channel setting ring loosing a stone. Pave, heck yes, channel set, not so much.

I have a cushion sapphire ring (not from WF) and lost a melee stone from the pave edge....My diamond ering is finishing up at WF....

I chose the Tiffany Knife Edge in Platinum. I used to have WG in my old setting but it yellowed frequently and I had to take it to get rhodium plated every so often if I wanted the "shine" back.

It''s all personal preference but I am looking forward to seeing the platinum!

Thank you all for your insight. Yeah, most likely I will choose a channel setting for my wedding band. But for the setting I will probably go with the knife edge.

I think that will make a gorgeous set!!

I had WF make a channel set with tiffany style head. It''s basically their bead set setting duplicated into a channel set. My fiance LOVES it and I just ordered her a matching wedding band yesterday.

I had a custom diamond setting made by Whiteflash for my diamond. Its in white gold and I have been wearing it for around 7 months. Its still white and looks great. There are loads of little diamonds and they are all still there. I was also nervous about buying a setting with small diamonds but I decided just to go for it. I wanted the sparkly setting so much!

Thank you all for your input. I am worried about any diamonds falling out but I guess that I am not the only person that thinks this way. I was checking out the facets collection and saw an eternity band and a channel set that I might be interested in.

I am surprised at the quality. I believe that they only use plat and their prices are pretty reasonable.

I am just very anxious right now because we ordered my ering! I am awaiting for the email of when my ring will be ready and shipped my way! I am soooo excited but nervous too! My BF and I are very impatient!

I will post pics when I get my sparkly.
