The good old Daily Mail. Angelina Jolie has been off doing great things in Rwanda over the last few days, a visit which saw her pare down her jewelery but, of course, they notice the absence of Angelina's ering and her Brad Pitt inspired, minimalist 250 thousand dollar engagement ring gets marvelously described as:

"Her original expensive ring in question features an oblong-shaped rock which is inset into a thick ribbed band."

It made me think - there's an art to describing a piece of jewelery to make it sound irresistible and this guy hasn't got it.

lol he definitely wouldnt be able to sell jewellery. i especially dislike 'thick ribbed band' yuck

Haha! I guess this guy doesn't know what he doesn't know, and therefore didn't bother to look into what might otherwise be called a steptastic emerald cut! :read:

I would love a big oblong shaped rock for a future anniversary.

Looks more like baguettes than a ribbed band.

Thank you for the responses. However it is described, it does seem to be an unusual ring. The side baguettes are so thin compared to other rings and it does create a ribbed band look (almost like a watch band) on the sides. I think it suits Angelina's long, slim finger.

That sounds like a bad condom ad.
