Hey everyone!
35.gif

I hope you all had a great weekend. Had a good cardio session this morning, the multigym has a problem at the moment so we can''t use it. Hopefully it should be fixed soon. Hubby is really getting into building his body and is having creatine and whey milkshakes
23.gif
He has one before he works out then the other so many minutes after he finishes. I think he will be looking into getting Muscle Milk next...
6.gif
Oh well - it keeps him happy!

Not much else to report, look forward to hearing from you all soon!

HA HA that''s funny about hubby, Lorelei! Boys!!

I did my LizzieC bootcamp cardio workout yesterday here at home, Greg went out for a run and burned 1100 cals (
6.gif
),then we had homemade mini pizzas and salad for dinner and Jello for dessert. This morning it''s high fiber multigrain cereal mixed with mango passion and coffee with soy.

I plan to go to the gym today to do the treadmill, but my back is feeling kind of sore so we''ll see what I get in. I did 7 days of workout last week so I don''t want to injure myself, today may need to be a day of ''rest''...we''ll see.

In any case, I am super jazzed that I did so well last week and am getting much less tired when doing 6 or 7 days of workouts. My body is definitely getting more used to it!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!! How are our injured parties doing? Kim I''m sorry to hear your foot is still giving you problems, what does the dr say?? And did they say how you injured it, I can''t recall. But now I am all paranoid!

Hello all! This weekend J and I went shopping so we walked around the mall for 2 hours. Then today I biked to work, will bike home, and I''m going to yoga at 12pm today!

My sis just started waiting tables at Olive Garden, so my mom took us kids to dinner there last night. With my sis''s discount we were going to get a great deal anyways, but the kitchen printer decided to eat our ticket and we got our food late, so the manager took 3 of our 5 entrees off the bill.
6.gif
So we then got 3 desserts to share between 5 people - oooh, tiramisu.... So anyways, the combination of a late dinner (8:15) and desserts means I feel a bit heavy this morning. At least I''m making a healthy dinner tonight - curried chickpeas and gingered black beans with broccoli, carrots, and brown rice - yum!

My back/shoulder is feeling a lot better now. All of the stretching finally started to pay off Sunday morning and I didn''t even use heat on it. I''ll definitely be favoring it in yoga today, but hopefully I''m on the mend. Thanks for the advice and encouragement everyone!

I''m so excited that I can finally post on here because I have been procrastinating for months. My company has a work out facility in the building with classes, personal trainers, etc. So me and one of my work best friends finally signed up and went today for our first class during lunch. It was called total body workout and had a series of activities including relays, spinning, crunches, and squats on some sort of half ball thing. There was a point in the class where I thought I was going to die, but then I suddenly got through it and had lots of energy. I feel so refreshed now.

I''m not good on eating super healty, but I had 2 cereal bars for breakfast, a granola bar for a morning snack and my lunch is 1/2 a turkey sandwhich (its a big half) and fruit.

hey all!

well I got hit with a monster migraine this weekend. Usually if I hit them with excedrin right as I start to feel it coming on I can get them to be not so bad. But I was out and about and didn''t have any with me. By the time I got home it was full on -- sensitivity to light/sound / naseau / aching and pounding all over. I tried to sleep it off, but that didn''t seem to work either.

Luckily the excedrin finally kicked it to the curb and I am back to 100% today (if a little bit hungry)

I''ve got a tape ready to go once I get home from class tonight and my eating so far has been ok. Plan on getting subway for lunch and maybe picking up some fruit for a snack later

jcjd- glad your back is feeling better!
mara- take care of yourself you hard worker you!! nothing sucks more than an injury hampering all that awesome progress you''ve been making!!

apple- YAY!! gotta love the first days of "Getting back to it" congrats on signing up for a class!!

Thanks Cialet.

I''m glad I have an accountablity partner to keep me motivated. My co-worker sits next to me so she and I will make each other go. Also they did a fitness assesment on Friday when we signed up. My body fat % and BMI were both about 19 which isn''t bad, but I''d like to get the body fat a little lower. Also I''ve gained 3 pounds since I got married 5 months ago. Thats 1/3 of the newlywed 9. So I''ll defnitely be a little more health conscious about that. I have another co-worker that has been forced to diet/eat healthy for a month as requested by her doctor, so I''ve been taking one for the team and eating better with her whenever we go out for lunch. My main goal is to get toned and and get rid of my belly. I feel like it shows through some of shirts is very unflattering. DH works out all the time so he''s been politely teasing me about exercising.

good to see you miss appletini and girl can i just say you are so skinny, i highly doubt you have a big belly going on! but yeah it''s good to be aware of how your body is changing to catch it so that you don''t put on the newlywed 9...i surely did. hehe.

hit up the gym today and did an hour on the treadmill to the tune of 3.9 miles and 555 calories burnt. it was really odd because i felt kind of tired and ugh through about 35 minutes on the machine. then suddenly that is when i hit my stride and i could have easily gone past an hour and onto like 1:15 or something but i had to leave to go pick up portia from her first 1/2 day at daycare. it''s so weird how sometimes you can feel energetic the whole time, or just half time, or only 20 minutes, but typically after minute 15-20 i am golden til 55/60 minutes, but today it really took me longer to hit the feeling of ''i could keep going''. before it just felt like my legs were weighted...so odd.

dinner tonite is stuffed chicken breast from whole foods, when summer is over they start stocking this stuffed chicken breast, they stuff it with diff types of stuffing, my fave is the wild mushroom and rice but i think the one i got is apple and cinammon, not my fave but still good. it''s a good way to get a whole meal out of something you just have to bake for an hour. i dust it with cajun spices and pour white wine over it and then bake it. it''s very yummy. we''ll have it with a mixed green salad from WF.

speaking of salad...be sure to check out the article on MSN about the CA tainted lettuce they are recalling. it is the ''Foxy'' brand of lettuces. now i am all paranoid about this salad i bought from WF for dinner but it''s mixed greens not ''lettuce'' as in one type so hopefully we''ll be okay? i dont know!! i hate all this paranoia and BAD FOOD. farmers should be held more accountable for their crops they serve to the public or something.

anyway hope everyone had a good day!! sorry to hear about your migraine cailet!!

ok, well this weekend hubby was out of town and i was home alone sat night. after my kids were in bed I started channel surfing and NOTHING is on on sat. nights. anyway, I stumbled upon CMT's show about the girls trying out for the dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders and watched the whole 1.5hours they aired
20.gif
. watching them workout and train and seeing their bodies in such great shape made me think I've got to start excercing and eating better. I used to teach 7 spinning classes a week but after having my second baby it just got too hard to get to the gym all the time and took forever just to load them up, into the nursery etc. anyway, I really don't have any excuses any more and although i don't really need to loose weight I do want to tone up. I wanna look like a Dallas Cowgirl
9.gif
Hubby needs to loose some weight and just started running. I'm hoping to help both of us by changing our eating habits, not that they were bad but they definitely can be a lot better.

Well, we''ve hit a bit of a snag here re. health in my home...DH got his MRI results back today and they are not good. He has two herniated disks, as well as two bulging disks in his back. I have felt so bad for him that it has been all I can do to just get out of the house to walk the dog for 30 minutes at a time once a day over the weekend....he is in excrutiating pain and hates to take painkillers...I hate to leave him alone while he''s on 4 different prescriptions in the evening (he refuses to take them during work hours because he feels so out of it)...so my workouts are kinda blown. TG for my little 10 lb. dumbbells because that''s the only way I''m fitting in workouts at all. I wait til he''s somewhat comfortable in his recliner after he''s taken his meds and go upstairs to spend 20 minutes doing my thing. We meet with his former back surgeon Thursday night and will find out more....hopefully we can avoid any invasive surgery and go the non-surgical treatment route unless his condition worsens. He''s missed 3 business trips in the past couple of weeks, and we have cancelled our trip to Phoenix to visit relatives (and have a romantic evening together) because he can''t stand to sit so long on a plane. Sorry to bring down the workout thread...I''m trying to do what I can, though, and hopefully this will bring a lifestyle change as far as working out for DH. Thanks for listening...this is a tough time for us!

The rest of you seem to be doing so well--keep it up! I will remain a cheerleader for the t;ime being! Take care of yourselves!

welcome mrs salvo!! part of why i like working out is that it definitely gives me that more 'toned' appearance which i like. people can be skinny, but i like seeing a little bit of muscle tone too. definitely check out cookinglight.com, all their recipes are free now and we make a few things a week from there. i have found that they have great recipes that keep most of the flavor in things but reduce things like fat and calories from 'old favorites'. i have yet to not find a recipe when i am looking for it.

we had our WF stuffed chicken tonite which was just divine!!! they only have it in fall and winter so it was fun to have it again for the first time since probably march or so. we had it with a fresh mixed green salad from WF and jello for dessert. and can i just say that man i am not making any more jello!! i made a batch last nite and we ate the whole thing between last nite and tonight. well let me rephrase. we both had some last nite and we both had some tonite. and then today this afternoon after eating 1/2 a tuna sandwich on multigrain and a granola bar, i ended up having what probably amounted to three servings of jello. you might think jello whats so bad about that. well it's all just calories and sugar. so i probably ate like 250 cals in jello. what a waste. also today at work someone brought DONUTS so i hacked off a few 1/4's a few times as well. overall i felt really 'snacky' today which is not typically like me. random!! but at least i burned serious calories so i'm happy for the most part. also, i figure other than the donut pieces (which weren't that bad actually)...everything else i ate was either low-fat or pretty healthyish. i mean jello as a splurge isn't that bad! it coulda been like a chocolate cake or something. heehee. plus at this point i just want to maintain and with me working out as much as i am, i don't really feel guilty spluring on some things because i don't want to get too thin...greg is already giving me grief about my 'baggy butt' in my previously tight fitting juicy sweats. haha. and i want to keep up my workouts.
5.gif

how is everyone else doing?! where is everyone lately anyway? jcrow, heather, travelin gal (oh ya you are off getting hitched!!), rod ?!?

ETA i see you posted while i was babbling monarch....sorry to hear about DH...that's so stressful and it sounds so painful. i hope he gets better soon. one suggestion for you while you are homebound, have you seen lizzie's bootcamp workout that she posted on here previously? if not i can repost it. it has been my saving grace a time or two when i can't get out of the house for the gym or i miss a class or whatever...i typically do it on sundays when greg goes for his run. it's about 45 minutes and 50 with stretches and it actually can kick your butt if you let it. i add more cardio and kickboxing in to just get more of a bounce going on. but i would highly recommend it if you are at home with DH but want to do more than just dumbells. the bootcamp incorporates dumbells and pushups/situps as well. so it's pretty full body. anyhow, i do it while watching crap TV (buffy the vampire slayer!!) and it passes the time pretty quickly.

thanks for the cookinglight.com tip. I have the cookinglight superfast suppers cookbook but haven''t used it in a while so I think I''ll pull that out today and pick some recipe''s. I used to get a subscription to their magazine so maybe I''ll start that back up too. my sister made some awesome cranberry orange muffins last fall from their magazine and they were so yummy. just waiting fro cranberries to come back in season so I can make them. We are also going to rejoin the YMCA which I canceled last year b/c I wasn''t using it. So, I''m going to enroll my kids in swimming lessons and ballet and i can go work out while they are in their classes. Today though, it''s going to be a long with with Zoe and pushing a double stroller should be a decent cardio workout for me.

monarch- i too am sorry to hear about your hubby. i hope he heals quickly.

I have the cooking light 500 best recipes cookbook...I've only tried a few things. However do not make their minestrone soup unless you put a lot of seasoning in it, because the recipe they have in there is bland and terrible. I threw out the whole batch.

Also Healthy Appetite with Ellie Krieger on Food Network has some promising recipes...I haven't made any yet, but even though they are healthy they do sound good...she even made mashed potatoes the other day and was talking about all the nutrients in yukon gold potatoes and how they are similar to a banana...she also said to leave the skin on for the nutrients...and she used a little parmesan with skim milk and buttermilk, and put a pat of butter on top for presentation.

Mara,
Have you tried the sugar free jello? I made some over the weekend and it tastes just like regular jello.

It is so hilarious with Hubby''s muscle drinks - he consumes them in a reverent and ceremonial manner as if they are some sort of magical elixir...I can''t help snickering!
41.gif
They STINK something awful, especially one of them has this metallic odour to it which is completely yuck.

Welcome MrsS and Apple
35.gif

Monnie- I hope your poor Hubby feels better soon.

No workout for me today as an early appt, but I did extra over the weekend.

Monarch! sorry about your hubby! sending healthy vibes your way!

Welcome Mrs S!

Mara-- mmmmmm stuffed chicken mmmmm. We were going to go to WF this weekend to check it out but the migraine spoiled those plans. I''ll have to drag the bf over there and see if we have the same stuff out here that you do over in CA! Stuffed chicken sounds devine!

I pushed really hard last night -- got a little dizzy and had to take it easy for a bit in the middle of my workout. But I felt GREAT afterward. Don''t really know how many calories I burn (since I just do tapes at home) but I was sweating up a storm last night for sure!

No real changes in inches since last I measured - but I''m definitely feeling more compact. You know how the fatty areas on the body kind of just hang out there all loose and jiggly? Well I feel less of a jiggly thing going on lately. More firm. Which is defintiely a good thing!

Hey Everyone,

Lorelei: Good for hubby drinking his protein drinks before and after a workout. I don''t do creatine (it firightens me), but I''m a definite believer in protein shakes after a workout. There''s a coffee shop next to our gym and they make the most wonderful Muscle Milk with Yogurt protein shakes in town. We get a discount for being gym members there. But usually, I just make a protein shake at home right after a workout.

Monarch: So sorry to hear about your husbands back problems. I hope he gets better soon. I still think stretching and core strengthening exercises (in moderation) would ultimately help him.

Mara: I agree with you about the lettuce scares. The produce farmers have to be held accountable to the public and we should be assured we are buying foods that won''t kill us. You know how much salad we consume in our home. We lose enough sleep over life issues that worrying about whether dinner will kill us shouldn''t be in our daily worries.

Mrssalvo: Good to see you over here. We have a great community on this thread.

So, I''ve got this rhythm going now. I work towards finding a job for 2 hours in the morning, then at 11:00 I go to Starbucks and just sit under the majestic oak tree and enjoy a nice cup of coffee (it''s the best place in town to see my diamond in filtered sunlight - and oh why can''t my camera capture the magic like Mara''s can?). At 12, I meet Charlie for lunch. Then I work again for another 2 hours at home on job related searches, which takes me to the fun part of the day for Rod. That''s the fitness part. I shut down after 3 and either run or go to the gym for my 2.5 hour workout. Yesterday, it was a running day. And boy did I run. As you know I had finally gotten up to running 5 miles. Well to be honest 2.5 miles from our condo to a park on the bay, where we get a quick drink of water, use the restroom if needed and then take a walk on the fishing pier which is just so scenic. Then we''d run back the 2.5 miles. Yesterday I ran the first 2.5 miles, took my walk on the pier and then started running home. Only when I got home, I didn''t stop running. I actually ran at least another 1.5 miles and I could have run more, but felt I shouldn''t push my shins too hard. This morning I feel just fine, so the next run I plan to run a bit farther. It was a fantastic afternoon in Sunny Florida. Low humidity, not a cloud in the sky and just enough breeze to keep you cool. This afternoon, it''s back to the gym.

Things are a progressing on the job front, I guess. Yesterday I spoke to a company who has an amazing job for me. I had been referred to them and when I called the director of HR, she said she had actually been trying to track me down for the last two weeks. That was encouraging. But (isn''t there always a but?), the job would require us to move to the suburbs of Philadelphia. I know Philly''s a great city, but it wasn''t one I was looking to consider. Still, the job is a great opportunity so it''s now on our list of possibilities. Tomorrow morning I have an interview with a local company. But (here it comes), they are a really small company and that can be somewhat limiting. Still, it''s local and would let us stay in our beautiful new home. Finally, there''s another company headquartered in Tampa who I may have the opportunity to interview with next week. The first company I met with the week I was laid off has never even had the courtesy to respond to my emails. Amazing that they could interview me for 4 non-stop hours and then never communicate with me again. Weird.

Anyway, I''m doing ok and I do believe the future holds something really good for me. I just wish I knew what that was. I am lucky in that Charlie will move wherever we need to go so that I can get an appropriate position. For that I truly know how lucky I am.

Anyway, sorry for the long winded post. I hope everyone is off to a great Tuesday and health filled week.

Your friend,
Rod

Hey Rod! Good to see you my friend!

Still sending out positive vibes to you! A lot of great opportunities are starting to open up for you now which is fantastic - you will know which one is right for you, it will all click into place when the time is right! Also I can imagine Philly is a great place, I think Kaleigh reads this thread and she may be able to give you more of a ''feel'' for the area. Also my friend Diamondfan lives there and she is from the West Coast originally and she seems very happy there. Well done on the workouts too!

With the creatine, are there any negatives with it?

With the creatine, are there any negatives with it?
Lorelei......Thanks for the good vibes. They mean a lot to me. Our trainer really discouraged us from using creatine. It''s a natural substance the body is supposed to make on it''s own, but according to him, there are negatives to having a lot of creatine in the system. There are also (supposedly) issues with how pure a creatine product is. I researched creatine on the net and after reading about the possible issues (including health issues) we decided it wasn''t for us. Perhaps you and hubby should google ''creatine'' and read about the good and the bad.

On the Philly issue, the job is in the burbs as I mentioned. We''re not burb kinds of guys. The traditional house in the suburban neighborhood with a white picket fence does not appeal to us. We''d need to see if we could live closer to the city and commute to the burbs. Since I haven''t been scheduled for an in-person interview yet, I guess it''s not something I need to worry over just yet. Time will tell though..........Thanks again Lorelei!!

Hey Rod, I just wanted to say I just LOVE Tampa. The international mall there is so great and it really is a gorgeous city. Of course if you moved to philly you''d be able to get together with Kaleigh and some other philly pricescopers but it is VERY COLD there in the winter

eeee ixnay on the cold wintersay. i am soooo not keen on moving to the east coast..that weather would just kill me. also i know i would really miss the diversity that we have here in california if we ended up in an east coast suburb. there''s nowhere AS diverse as here except NYC. anyway...tough call rod but i would follow all options/avenues because you just never know! i''m sure something great will come up for you and it''s great you have a routine going now because that is important to not be derailed by just hanging out at the house all day yanno, it''s hard to go from a busy daily schedule to having so much time. you should start experimenting with awesome cooking now that you have time! hehee.

appletini...i made some great mashed taters the other day from a cooking light recipe...they had horseradish and garlic in them for flavor and some butter and sour cream. you can definitely make them more healthy than the typical if you just love them. also CL had a really yummy looking horseradish crusted beef tenderloin recipe i am dying to try out at some point soon as well. as for flavoring the recipes, i love extra flavoring anyway so i typically double or triple things like herbs or garlic in recipes.

I did yoga during lunch today. I used to the bikram yoga so this was a big change, it was primarily stretching and the added bonus was that I wasn''t sweaty at all, but did feel like I accomplished something. Same lunch again today (b/c I haven''t been to the store this week)...turkey sandwhich on wheat with a side of fruit.

Mara,
I can''t believe you would dare cover the flavor of a beef tenderloin! When I make beef tenderloin or fillets, I coat it with EVOO, add a spice rub (courtesy of the Southern Living Holiday Beef Tenderloin), and little worchestshire sauce. Another thing that is yummy is for a t-bone or porterhouse to rub it with garlic and then sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Happy Tuesday All!

I did 30 minutes on the elliptical this morning and then free weights. So I''ve determined it''s the walking on pavement/sand that caused the whole foot issue and that is when it will continue to flare.

Welcome, mrssalvo!

And monarch, so sorry about your poor hubby! Not fun.

Rod, it sounds like you have lots of opportunities opening up. Keeping structure to your day is a great thing. When I quit working to return to school I thought I''d go nuts. Having a schedule has really helped me avoid any sort of duldrums I thought i might feel.

Have great workouts everyone.

lol apple, well the recipe is just a crust on the TOP of the tenderloin so the sides and bottom are still exposed with all their juicy goodness. the picture they posted on the CL website is just mouth watering, i had to cave to wanting it!

I guess the only advantage is that we are actually both from the D.C., area, so we would be closer to family. But, winter scares me and I''ve worked so hard to live in a warm and sunny climate that it would be hard to give this up after all these years. Still, I need to find an opportunity that takes advantage of the skills I''ve developed all these years and somehow, there just aren''t too many opportunities in this area.

I like your idea of getting more creative in the kitchen, but I''m using that time for me and working out at the gym when there''s hardly anyone there as opposed to going in the evenings when it''s overwhelmingly crowded. Now I suppose I could go the gym in the mornings but I''m not a morning person at all from a fitness perspective. Afternoons and evenings really do work better for me.

And mrssalvo, I too just love Tampa. They actually opened International on 9/11/, so it was a pretty sad opening. But now that we have such stores as Nieman and Nordstrom, I know I could never live in a town without them. How often do you get to visit Tampa?? Maybe we could meet sometime when you''re here!

Rod - I grew up in a northwest suburb of Philly (King of Prussia area) and my dad worked in the city. The train system in the area is pretty extensive, so living near the city and commuting out to the burbs might be quite easy, especially if your workplace is on or near the rail line. My family moved from there (to Nebraska) when I was in 8th grade so I don''t know how it has changed since then either. I really liked it as a kid and would like to go back someday. Philly is a great city. The winters are cold, but nothing outrageous, unlike the windy midwest. If you can use the train system you should have no problems commuting and getting around to and from work. Plus you''re just hours from NYC (diamond district!!) and DC, and you could pretty easily take a nice long weekend road back down south!

Well... I didn''t actually go to yoga yesterday (bad JC!!) I ended up working right through the class, so at least I got some things accomplished. My back is also feeling almost back to normal, so maybe it''s a good thing I skipped yesterday... Tonight though I''ll go to yoga class at 8pm while J has a meeting/get-together.

MrsSalvo - Are you a runner too? If so, is it possible for you and hubby to get some running strollers and run with the kids together? Your YMCA swimming/ballet/you-workout plan sounds great too!

monarch - thanks for cheering! Good luck to you and send some pricescope magic to your husband from us all. Hopefully you can do the non-surgical treatments and he will start feeling better quickly.

Mara - I''ve definitely noticed my arms and calves developing some muscle tone too. I actually have defined triceps!

Apple - Can you still do Bikram where you workout? There are no Bikram classes offered at the rec center I go to

so. i''ve disappeared off the thread for a week. hi everyone! glad to hear that you''re all hanging in there. it''s great that we''re here to encourage each other.

me, i''m not doing so great. hubby''s grandparents are both in their final stages...they are both in hospital beds in their own living room with 24-hour care. they are right next to each other. that''s the way i want to go someday, so sweet. anyhow, the diet thing just isn''t going well for me. with the stress of it all, i''ve managed to eat taco bell, pizza, and other CRAP over the past week
14.gif

on a good note, i ran a 1/2 marathon on sunday, and i didn''t think i''d do well since my training hasn''t been where i thought it should be...but yet again, i set a personal record. YAY. i''m super sore right now, more so than my last 1/2 marathon in july, and my full marathon in june. i think it''s because i haven''t kept up the same level of training. so, i will be taking the next few days off from exercise, which means that i DEFINITELY have to get this eating thing under control.

mara, i think i need to make a trip to whole foods. the problem is that right now i just don''t have time to go to the store and stock up on groceries and cook...that''s why it''s been frozen pizza and taco bell...and i''ve had subway so much over the past few weeks that i''m just at the stage where i have to rebel. have you found that the pre-packaged fresh prepared whole foods meals are pretty good (the ones in the refrigerated section)? anyone tried them? i think that if i have time for taco bell, then i definitely have time for wf since it''s just down the street.

monarch, sorry to hear about your hubby
8.gif
hang in there!

anyhow, take care everyone!

Hi Rod,
I live outside of Philly, Bryn Mawr to be exact. Working in the burbs is nice, my husband just moved his comapany to the burbs. But Philadelphia is such a great city. We spend a lot of our time in the city. The Rittenhouse SQ are is a great place to live in Philadelphia. If you need any help just let me know.
Monarch I am sorry about your hubby, hope he''s feeling better soon!!
I love reading this thread, you guys are all doing great!!!
36.gif

Rod, I'm in Tampa once or twice a year. I've got a ton of family in orlando too. i would love to meet up next time I'm there.

JCDC- no, I'm so not a runner. I used to run 5-6 miles when I was in college and hated every minute. My best friend actually ran the NY marathon a few years ago and I still didn't get inspired. I'm a kickboxing, step aerobics type gal so hubby will be running solo. maybe we should still get the jog stroller so he can take the kids, they do make double wides

Apple - Can you still do Bikram where you workout? There are no Bikram classes offered at the rec center I go to

JC,

The bikram studios in Houston don''t require memeberships you just buy packages. My building has a regular yoga class. I love the bikram, but I am now on a 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off, so I work an extra hour Monday-Thursday. I loved the 4:30 bikram class, but I don''t get off work until 4:45 so I can''t do it anymore. They also have a 6:30pm-8 class but that is just too late for me, plus the whole time I think about how hungry I am and what I want for dinner, and it would take away from quality time with DH and the numerous great TV shows this season.

I just finished a very tough 70 minute one on one Brazilian Jujitsu session with my instructor.

I was hoping to go to the gym later today but I''m pretty tired. The workout was great and I''m learning

some great techniques.

Keep on TRACKin

I did mention a long time ago that I''m a USF Tampa alumni (class of 78). There was no Sundome and no football team back then.

A Billy Joel 2 hour concert was $2.00!!! We had lots of Southern rock concerts (The Outlaws). Hall of Fame pitcher Robin Roberts was

the baseball coach and a guy named Reuben O'' Donovan Askew was the governor. Time flies but the memories live on!
