Wedding dress accessories

One thing I have always wondered about is whether the jewelry that one uses to accessorize their wedding dress should be real gems or not. The necklace and bracelet designs I have in mind are quite 'ornate' and I don't know if I would be able to wear them again. What is the way forward?

It might be a good idea to go with simpler jewelry designs when it comes to that. What I know for sure is that you don't need to go overboard, but just use the accessories to add a unique touch to your look.
