I am in the process of finalizing the wedding band to match my fiances engagement ring. Her engagement ring is platinum solitaire 1.18 carat, VS2, G.

We are looking at something like the following:

http://www.shaneco.com/Catalog/ProductDetail.aspx?X=41040743&C0=1&C1=12&A1=Gem|Diamond&A2=Metal|Platinum&A3=Stone%20Shape|Round

I have looked at a few different bands each being .25 carat tw round, VS and G-H color, 2.5mm platinum.

As you can see the above price is $1,095. I have also looked at bands between $1,500 and $1,700.

What is a reasonable cost for such an item? Also, if her engagement ring color is G, should I go with G or can I get away with I color? Are these stones ever rated by either GIA or AGA? Finally, I did purchase the engagement ring online, can I find the above online at a cheaper price?

Thanks for all of the help.

here are other channel set eternity rings for you in platinum:

http://www.whiteflash.com/wedding_bands/14-stone-bead-set-diamond-band_974.htm# (bead set)
http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/home/ring-details/?product_id=5402 (full eternity)

I like BGD and Whiteflash best personally-- good quality diamonds that will sparkle like crazy!

To answer your Q, I don''t think you''d notice a color difference between G-H-I in teeny tiny diamonds in the band, but maybe an expert will have more input :)

GL!
