Hi, experts!!
I am writing because I have very little money for a wedding ring, but I want a ring with diamonds (think beer budget, champagne taste), and to be more specific, I really would love to get a bezel eternity band (similar to the Tiffany Jazz).
My engagement ring is white gold, and although my center stone is an H according to the GIA my fiance gave me, I think he might have gotten taken for a ride, because now that I know a thing or two about diamonds (haha, but only a thing or two at most), I highly doubt I would see as much warmth in an H as I see in my stone. These are a few options I have and I ''d like some opinions:
1) Because I want to wear my wedding ring with my engagement ring, my first instinct is to want to see the diamonds in person before I make a purchase (since my center diamond is a "warm H" and I don''t want the wedding band to outshine the engagement diamond). My mom has an old engagement setting that she''s not wearing that has about 10 round ~.02/3 pointers (which are a good color in comparison for my engagement diamond) that she will let me use in a new setting. I went to my mom''s jeweler a while back, and he had a sorta fakey bezel, which I guess was sort of an illusion setting (though I can''t find one similar online to show you) that had what looked like a bezel but then the diamonds were held on there by little beads. All in all, using my mom''s diamonds and then a few more to complete the eternity, that would cost me $500 to be set in white gold.
2) I could try and find something online, like this: Ebay Bezel buut I don''t know if the seller is any good.
3) some creative response from you smarties!!
The issue is that to get WF to do a ring similar to what I want would be more than double my budget (I need to stay around $500), and the other issue is that FI really isn''t one for jewelry, and my mom has a LOT of jewelry (I mean a ton) that I will inherit one day (though obviously HOPEFULLY not for a very very long time)--but an eventual upgrade is EXTREMELY unlikely because FI and I don''t have much money and possibly never will. I just want something that compliments my ering but that I can also wear separately if I want to, and has some sparkle of its own.
Any help? I''d appreciate it
