Wearing ER and WB on separate hands

I haven't posted in a while, but I lurk everyday! I had a question for those of you who wear your wedding band and ER on separate hands. Which hand do you wear them on? I have been wearing mine together, but I decided I like the way they look better separate and I want to get a rose gold stacking band to go with my WB. I feel like I should wear my WB on my left hand and my ER on my right, but I like the look of it when my ER is on my left hand. My finger on that had is smaller so the diamond looks bigger! And plus I don't bang that hand around as much. Thanks for any input!

I know what you mean about not banging that hand about. I don't think I could wear an ering on my right hand. You learn to be careful with your left hand once you get engaged. Don't some people wear their ering as a wedding ring after they get married? Maybe you could just carry on wearing it there. Do whatever makes you comfortable. :))

I often wear my cartier trinity stacked with wb's on my left hand and my e-ring on my right. But this is only a day look - when I'm shopping or going to dinner. I wouldn't wear my e-ring on my right hand at home.

well I love my diamond, but a wedding band is a wedding band to me so I tend to wear that on my left... but anything goes now. I also find I bang my left hand more than my right not because I use it more (I don't - I'm right handed) but because I have greater control over my right and my left tends to kind of slap around a bit lol I tend to think a solitaire on the right hand looks a bit like a rhr and however unideal that may be, I think it looks appropriate, especially since the main point of the rings is to look married lol I don't want to look engaged :P

I guess I never thought about what was the proper way to do it, but I wear my e-ring on my left hand and eternity bands on my right. My e-ring also fits my left hand better...I think you should do what you like. :praise:

I wear my e-ring alone on my left hand, and my wedding band with my grandmother's ring on my right hand. I do this because a) I like the way my e-ring looks alone, and b) I want to wear my grandmother's ring with my wedding band, and my grandmother's ring only fits on my right hand.

I've been doing this since May of 2009, and in that time many people (strangers, mostly) have asked me if I'm engaged. No big deal, I just say "No" and smile and move on.

I've had a couple people at work ask my why I wear my rings like that, and while I'm always surprised to learn that people pay attention to how I wear my rings, the explanation is easy enough to provide when I feel so inclined.

I say wear your rings where and how you prefer to wear them. All of my Greek friends wear their wedding bands and engagement rings on their right hands, and they get questions, too. No biggie!

Thanks for the responses. My mom mentioned to me that wearing my ER alone on my right hand makes it look like I am engaged. But I guess for those who know me- they know I am married!

Engaged is still 'off the market' ;)) .

And isn't it nice to remember the engagement days when that ring meant the world?

Unfortunately, I have to wear both on my left hand. The knuckles on my right hand are bigger than my left hand and can't get the rings on. That is why I have RHR (5 stone)
