I have searched the database and cannot find a suitable stone. I want a multi faceted stone and not an older cut. I think I need a dealer who can patiently work with me to get a stone I like and can afford. My current 2 ct. is a F SI-2, close to a 1.0 ratio with good table and depth proportions and would like the same in the new 3 ct. stone. I have been at this for a couple weeks now and dont see anything on line that I like. Any suggestions?

Call Mark Turnowski at engagementringsdirect.com, he will find you a gorgeous cushion!! Many of us have used him here on PS- he is very nice and really knows what he is doing!
Good luck!

That is probably your best option, you can email some vendors to get an idea of what they might be able to find for you, take advantage of their contacts and expertise! Good luck!

Assuming you are not trading in your diamond with the original vendor who you purchased it from, I am not sure which vendors here take trade-ins that they did not sell. I think you will be limited to a vendor or two.

Thanks Jazmine - I should have re- read the title, ditto what you said. best time, you will be limited as to which vendors will take a trade and also you won't get what you paid for the diamond, around 50% is usual so you might have to factor that into your budget. Also the trade in diamond will be more desirable with a GIA grading report which hopefully yours has.

You could consider selling this diamond on consignment, Dirt Cheap Diamonds and a couple of others used to offer this, but there are no guarantees it will sell, also the vendor takes a percentage if a sale results. I wish you luck with your project and hope you can get what you want.

ETA - this thread might be helpful.

Thanks for your reply. I will call him and see what he says.
