I came across this beauty on ebay. It was listed in a state unclaimed property auction. The chain is a heavy yellow gold (9 grams) suspending three old mine cut diamonds. They are very white and sparkly. I see only one inclusion. The top two measure about 4x4mm and the bottom one 3.5x3.5. They are set in a cloverleaf pattern on black enamel. The sides are beautifully scalloped. It looks like an art deco piece. What do you think of my find?

I was thinking the same! Great find, the diamonds are a nice size for a pendant

Great find! I think it''s awesome!

Great find! The black makes a very pretty contrast to the gold.

ANOTHER great find, Uppy - I LURVE it!

Thanks Grace! I''m hoping one day I can glue them all together and come up with a beauty like the one in your avatar!!!!

I love that! Congratulations on your lucky find!

If I had to guess, I would say it''s from the 1880s and was once part of a pair of earrings. Perhaps one of the dangly pieces from a pair of "day & night" earrings, which would have had a pair of small top parts for wearing during the day and dangles that could be attached for evening parties.

I could certainly be wrong, but that''s what it looks like to me.

Very pretty! What a find!
