So being home from school all summer can be dangerous. I stay up too late wandering Ebay. Look what I just had to have... It is 14k white gold with a .20 diamond that is clear to my eye and when louped. The detail of the filigree is almost perfect. The only downside is it is a 7.5 and I am not. I am going to give it to my daughter for her birthday : :appl:

Thanks all, sweet_pea I would guess from the 1920's, I would re size it to fit my fingers but the shank is sooo thin, so my daughter will love it.

Beautiful! Reminds me of my grandmother's ring. My grandparents were married in the late 1920s, so I would think that's the correct era.

Awww! I have a huge soft spot for filigree rings. My husband proposed with an antique ring similar to this, and it is so so special to me. Your daughter will love it.

That is not from the 1920's. You can get those rings anywhere, mainly jansjewells.com.

Well I think it is a lovely ring regardless of it's age! What a sweet gift for your daughter! I also have a similar one that belonged to my grandmother.

Well... Very nice repro rings on that site. Is it your site?
HOWEVER my ring is from the 1920's. Had a jeweler verify it before I kept it. :appl: You can even see where the shank was repaired at one point. It is in very fine condition none the less.

Athenaworth : :appl:

Thanks to all who gave my little find such nice comments. I gave the ring to my daughter and she was thrilled. My sister wants to know where hers is? :naughty:
I am trolling Ebay for hers now, as long as it is her money I can shop til I drop.

Very cool! Quite similar to the rings I helped my sister-in-law, my sister, and my best friend find over the years. I love how much presence and glamour the smaller antique rings have!

(And FWIW, I would think it's an original antique, albeit one that's in *extremely* good condition judging by the lack of wear- the center stone looks like a later OEC or early transitional, for example. And the repro ones usually have more flaws in the casting, much less even looking than yours.)

LGK thanks for the comments, BTW if you happen to see anything similar out there let me know, I am actually searching for one for my sister. I saw a pretty one on the Ebay seller gesnerestatejewelry but it was about 300. more than I spent!!
Ahh so I keep trolling!
