Hi all, any ideas what this means? Thank you in advance

They look like fiddlehead ferns, which are the first shoots of the plant in spring. In Victorian times there was a fern craze. The fern was used as a decorative motif during the fern craze. Symbolized humility and conferred protection according to AI.

Do you see that as two wheat stalks?

It's very pretty

Big grand homes installed fernery gardens . I've seen them on Britush TV shows
Quite lovely- but us Bew Zealandees do love our ferns

My grandmother had a huge New England fern garden. So lush. In the spring it had Spring Peepers (tiny frogs).

Agh, I love it but want to make sure it's nothing mourning because I'm terribly superstition.
I feel ya on that, I love victorian, jewelry, and love the all the symbolism they put into the pieces, but I am not into the morning jewelry. I think it’s beautiful, but I am too superstitious as well. Do you have clearer photos?

@Daisys and Diamonds I hear you! I wanted an onyx ring for forever (another birthstone) and finally got an art deco one to escape the victorian symbolism. I'm coming from a very superstitious culture.

i dont mean to stear your thread off on a tangent
but
we need a picture

Wow, your ring is set like a Victorian Onyx ring. Platinum Bezels around very old diamonds. But this style apparently was done in Art Deco period too. The piece work is unusual for Victorian times, and yellow gold also unusual, but Art Deco had those intricate floral decorations.

Found this similar, they are Art Deco

You guys have mad detective skills, that's why I love coming here.

I want to clarify that yellow gold wasn’t as common as white gold and platinum in conjunction with Art Deco piecework. Yellow gold was commonly used in Victorian times with Onyx. But since it has piecework I’m guessing yours is Art Deco or later. Just guessing though.
