Hi everyone,
Good day to you all.

Was wondering if you could share your comments with me.
I''m looking for a diamond with Very Strong Blue Fluorescence and i actually did find one in a B&M shop.
My gril friend and I saw one and she loves, but my worries are as follows.
So as expected from most typical B&M, not only was the quality not fantastic, price was expensive. Here are the specs:

Table: 56%
Depth: 64.2%
Crown angle: 36.0
Pavillion angle: 41.2
= HCA: 5.4

0.7 carats, H, VS2, VG for cit, polish and symmetry
about 3700USD

Do you think it''s worth it?
Based on what i have seen around in pricescope, i think this diamond is overpriced.

But my girlfriend love it, that''s why i''m hoping to find one that has H&A that has VSB flourescence.

I was wondering if can find a diamond that is:
0.3-0.6 carat (she complained 0.7 carat is too big and 0.4 carat is just nice for her

)
E-H, VVS1-VS2
VSB
Ideal or excellent cuts that can show H&A, if not close to H&A.

WOuld appreciate your comments and sharing!

I''d ignore options above 3 on the HCA, and a conservative choice is to stay below 2.

There''s only a couple on the search by cut database approaching your requirements, only with med blue, including this one...

I agree about trying to stay under two on the HCA. If you want a stone with great light return anyway. I had a stone that scored a 4.3 on the HCA and I had it recut to better proportions and it made SUCH a difference!

Ditto, the diamond is what we call a steep deep and it will leak light and not look good, check out Julie''s suggestions instead.

Bear in mind that diamonds shrink!

I was originally looking at 0.4ct or so, and now my 0.8ct looks smaller than when I first got it. I would go bigger as you will get used to the size pretty quicky!

Actually, i was working with Wink on the crafted by infinity diamond to check if it has the pretty flourescence, but the diamond is way beyond my budget, that was why we didn''t get to the point to check the diamond.
It was in Finland, now seems like it''s with Wink.

Thanks for all the help everyone.
It is tough finding one with VSB, and i wonder why would flourescence be a defect when it''s rather popular

I need to search harder, haha

Also you need to check with any VSB that it doesn''t have a negative effect on the diamond such as making it look cloudy in some lights, so you would need to check very carefully if using a vendor who does not have in house diamonds that the fluorescence doesn''t have a negative effect. This is rare but always best to be aware of. A vendor who has in house diamonds will know his or her diamonds and be able to advise accordingly.

Not only seems like, it is. Or rather I should say, it will be. It is en route from Finland via Belgium. I can hear some song writer now coming up with a song about traveling diamonds...

I would recommend contacting the PS vendor of your choice and having them help you hunt.

Hi everyone,

I want to ask your expert opinion on this matter.

I mentioned before that I saw the VSB diamond at a B&M which gave a very blue glow at the start of the thread.
What I later found out was that why I could see the pretty blue is because the diamond was cut too steep, but for an "ideal" cut it would be very hard to see it and may not appear that easily because of its excellent fire, scintillation and brilliance.

Is it true?

Right now I''m working with good, gracious and patient Wink on finding a VSB Crafted By Infinity diamond.
While I had so many questions and requests, I would like to thank him for Wink and Melissa''s kind help, and sincere and very timely replies.

Thank you once again.

I am not sure...Fluorescence needs certain light to really activate it so I don't know if cut proportions would make any difference to how it appears visually...Lets see what the experts have to say on this one.

Actually I thought you are one of those experts
