I was looking at the Verragio ENG-0231. I love the engagement ring, but the wedding band appears different. The engagement ring has a solid platinum band around both sides of the ring (except in the center where the diamond is suspended--that part does, in fact, resemble the wedding band). The wedding band is not a solid platinum straight edge as the engagement ring is. It is exactly shaped as the diamonds are. Does anyone else have this or can help me with this? I really love the setting and I think I even like the wedding band, but does anyone else know of any other settings that are similar where they are not exactly alike? Will this small factor bother me if I do decide to purchase it? The store has a "memo" piece coming in in a few days. I need to make a decision!!! HELP!

Oh i think the band will look wonderful. not all wedding bands will be exact matches for the e-rings. they can be but they don't have to be.

ETA: ok, i think I see what you're saying. the e-ring has smooth sides, almost channel set stones where the wedding band looks like a candy wrapper, bumpy sides?

Within the last 1/2 hour, 30 people have viewed this post but only 1 response. I just want opinions. Does everyone think that it is a match to the engagement ring? The platinum bars between the diamonds match on both rings so I think it works and I doubt Verragio would make a ring that doesn''t match but I just want to see if it bothers anyone else? If the sides of the engagement ring are different from the wedding band (except for that small part in the center of the engagement ring), does it look okay together to all of you? AGAIN, JUST WANT OPINIONS AND NEED THEM QUICKLY! I think I like the look but do not want to spend this amount of $$$ if it isn''t going to look pleasing to the eye! PLEASE , any opinions!?!? I''m watching this post because I need to make this decision soon as the ring will be coming in today probably this afternoon! THANKS to anyone who wants to give me their honest opinion!

personally, the differnent sideviews would bother me but i''m very picky when it comes to things like that. i''d want the styles to be the same from all angles.

mrsssalvo...thanks for posting those photos. I was having tremendous trouble for some reason getting them to copy and paste! What do you mean by ETA? Sorry for the silly question, but I don''t know if you were contradicting your first sentence or just adding to it.

All in all, you like the match between the two, correct?

ETA: means edited to add..

sorry for the confusion. when i first looked at the pic, they looked to be and exact match. when i looked at them again to copy and paste, i noticed the difference I think you were talking about. It would bother me if they weren't and exact match, but i'm weird like that

I''m not as wild about them as a set, but it could just be how it looks in pics and not how it looks IRL.

I actually like them as a set. But that could be because I''m not really the matchy type when it comes to e-rings and WBs. I like it when the WB compliments the e-ring, but isn''t identical to the e-ring shank. I think you have to decide if you are the matched set type, or the complimenting set type.

allygirl,

I think you should try on the set to see how you like it or at least try on something very similar if you are unable to see it in person.

I''m guessing about 50% of us are matchy matchy people an will not prefer it, and the other 50% like to mix it up a bit and will prefer the diferences in the rings.

It only matters if you lke it

Well, I just went to the store and tried on the MEMO piece that was sent by Verragio. I cannot believe how incredibly small and narrow the band is in comparison to the engagement ring. It doesn''t even look like the same ring! I would say the wedding band is probably about 1/5th the width of the engagement ring !

NOW, anyone have any ideas how I can get a match to the VERRAGIO piece that I want since I LOVE the engagement ring and do not like the wedding band that VERRAGIO makes to match! I tried on a regular channel set wedding band but it did not have the dividing platinum bars between the diamonds. Do you think that would still work and look okay? I really love the engagement ring and hope to find someone who can come up with a solution for me as I am quite upset about this.

I agree that you should go custom (that''s what I had to do).

Okay, so I went back to the store with my digital camera this time and took photos. For some reason, when I go to copy and paste them from my e-mail section, it comes up with the word NULL where the photo should be. Anyone know why? I really would like to post these photos to get opinions...

You can''t cut and paste. Either upload from your hardrive... or if they are posted on a website already use the little mountain with a moon icon above to copy the link (from the properties) in. I''m not explaining that well.
