!!! Vent !!!

Grr...Yet ANOTHER friend has announced her engagement (Christmas proposal with a HUGE rock!)!!! The last two couples who have gotten engaged have not been dating for nearly as long as SO and I. Grr...It''s just so frustrating!!! I know most of you are in the same boat, so I know you understand how I feel.

Okay, vent over.

I truly AM happy for them -both of the couples- and for all of you out there who were fortunate enough to receive a holiday proposal. I know some of you have been waiting a LONG time! Congratulations to all of you lucky gals out there!

Ditto! I posted my LIW moment about a month ago and after that, I''ve somehow managed to turn a tide and realize that it doesn''t matter when other people get engaged and how long they''ve been together. I know that when my BF proposes, it will be the most magical perfect moment ever!!! And I know it''ll be the same for you...

Um, I can relate! I''ve had about 3 girls I know get engaged over the holidays...I had a little meltdown after Christmas and my bf and I talked it out... were much better now and I''m not as anxious as I was when I was anticipating a holiday engagement.

I know it''s not about how long we (or anyone else) have been together. It''s about how ready I feel and how frustrated I am that he''s not. We talked so seriously about it in August, but I''ve seen nothing that would give me an inkling that he''s started saving money (which was supposedly the hold up). I''ve since realized that it''s not the money that''s the issue. It''s obviously about him not being ready. And it sucks! *sigh* But I love him and I''m willing to wait for him.

Hang in there.. I know it's SO hard. I had a friend get engaged last night and boy am I still thinking about it... ugh. I am so happy for her but it really makes me feel really bummed out. Best of luck to you while you wait...
