VC&SK halo, diamond 1.2 c... Dilemma.

Hi guys, I drive myself crazy. I am almost on final step and ... don't know what to do. I got help here a lot and again i ask your advice.

I have a nice stone 1.2 c and ready to send it to jeweler for setting. I want setting SHAPE and LOOK like this:

But made like Frankie ring platinum, shank pave.

My dilemma. Would the stone 1.2 c too small ?????? And all ring will look not the same?

I don't want extend my fund, i want keep it like it is now. Should i go for larger stone, no LESS quality ( J, SI2, very good )

Or should i keep my stone and keep large pave melee stones to have that LOOK?

It's a personal preference, of course, but I think 1.2 cts is going to look great in a halo. I would not, however, use large melee in the halo, it's just going to overwhelm the stone, not make it look bigger. I think keepng the halo delicate and proportionate to the stone will give you the look you want.

I believe there is someone here with a SK halo in about a 1.3? Or 1.35 size? May take a bit of searching but I know it's somewhere on PS.

As for your setting I think you should go with what you like. Some people prefer larger halo melee and others prefer smaller. I personally I have a 1.25 round in a halo and have fairly small melee. I think it balances the overall look better and doesn't overwhelm the center stone as much as larger melee would have.
