Vatche setting Grace price range

I was shopping for Vatche Grace setting in platinum. I contacted a few reputable vendors ( named on Price scope) and was a little confused, that price so much different.

Could i find better deal that this one:

I really wanted to work with one vendor ( his work Vatche setting was posted here recently ) but I got a quote much much more than on link i posted. I contacted his company by email, may be i should call and asked price?

It doesn't make sense to me that the price would be more than a few dollars different on that setting from vendor to vendor. Sometimes one may discount the setting more when you buy a diamond from them, but generally designer setting prices are set by the designer.

Are you sure both are the platinum version? WF has an option for white gold for about $700 less ($2,250 vs. $2,950 for platinum).

I received quote for platinum Grace Vatche was $3691.

Well, technically, most vendors call Vatche on the day you want to order and get the current price from Vatche. WF has had the same price up for a long time, so it is possible the price has gone up since then. In that case, I'd just buy from WF since they apparently honor what is on their website!

I believe for the Royal Crown, Retail Price is $2200. Supposedly Vatche has a problem with their stuff being "discounted". But I have seen it for sale anywhere between $1700 and $2300. I paid in about the middle.
