This is the second one I've cut but the first one I've finished. 4.915 carat, 9.72mm Uruguay . It did not come out quite as I wanted but it fell off the dop at this point so I just polished it.

The specks are just some polish carelessly left on in my haste to photograph it.

I think its pretty.

It looks delicious! My mouth is watering for hard candy now

It's truly unique and would make one hell of a ring

I really like it! What was it going to look like?

Thanks kitty & davi!
Rockhugger, it is close to what it was supposed to be, just not quite perfect. The intention was a paraboloidialoid as the pavillion and a spheric section as the crown. Having generated the spheric surface I was going to grind it down a milimeter or two to maybe get under the veil that is floating under the crown. The veil only shows up when lit from the side with a penlight so Im not concerned. I also meant to grind the entire pavillion up about half a mm since there is a tiny spot remaining that deviates from the paraboloidialoid surface.
So now I think Im about to post way too many photos, showing the personality of the stone and the zoning. I took a lot of trouble to orient it so the few well colored areas would mix in the face up.

And here this last one shows the very high tech macro shooting stage I made of an espresso cup in a coffee cup and a desk lamp

I think I typed too fast, I meant to say your cab's colour is gorgeous!

WOW You are talented!!!!!!
I LOVE That Cab, such an interesting color!
I can't wait to see how you set it!

Looks like a purple acorn. You take the most interesting pictures and I like what you’ve done with the ammy.

Finally got outside with the stone and camera to take pictures in the sun. Sorry if this is overkill on top of overdose.

I think it is beautiful! I love the color. I've never been that great at cabbing. I facet, but yeah, I know the huge pain it can be when it falls off the dop prematurely!

This is so unusual! Also shows the color of the stone to its best!

good job! and i love the deep, slightly blueish, purple it is in daylight

Empty city, overcast day, pie in the oven and I decide to inundate you with even more pics of my amethyst!
