I am so thrilled to share with you the results of many hours of research spent on PS and the help you friendly folks have given. Yesterday (V-Day) my boyfriend of 2.5 years proposed with a ring crafted by James Meyer with a center stone from BGD. It is so much more beautiful than I had imagined!
I was a little worried that the ring would be more delicate than I originally wanted, but the proportions are absolutely perfect and it feels fairly substantial for such a graceful look. I was also a bit worried that the design would work great with larger stones but not with my 1/2ct. Jim assured me the it would look fine, and I trusted his skill from his other pieces I've seen here on PS.
Both Jim and Lesley and Brian were wonderful to work with; I recommend them highly.
The ring is a "baby" version of Coati's lovely ring; 18k unplated white gold with platinum bezel and side wraps. For reference, my ring size is 6.5.
Center diamond: BG Signature H&A .488 H VS1, AGS000.
