Just received this UV Flashlight (USB Rechargeable 395nm Mini Blacklight, Wood's Lamp Portable Handheld Powerful LED UV Blacklight) from Amazon, and I was so excited, I had to share! I had a UV blacklight, but the difference is amazing! The flourescence really pops with this one. If you're interested, it is only $11.59, and at this time there is a 30% off coupon available. Here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F3XCVQ1W?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

pics of the stones? uv reaction pics?
Please!!!

Here are the pics. Sorry, not the best quality but the best I could do. :twisted2: The IGI report on the emerald-cut stone is listed as faint for flourescence.

Here are the pics without the light. Again, sorry for the quality. All of the stones are very clear although they may look a little milky in the photos due to being blurry. a4.jpga5.jpga6.jpg

The UV reaction to standard 365nm light on the one IGI listed as faint may be true. Please compare the reaction to 265 versus 395nm, if you have the correct tool. The reaction to 400nm to 430nm is often stronger than at 365nm. Probably some visible wavelength light is emitted from your 395nm lamp.

So there is a lamp that would show even a stronger fluorescence?

The around 400nm lamps show the most reaction most of the time. 395 is close enough, they are not that tightly binned so its likely 400nm anyway.
Around 400nm is a common point for the cheapest way to make the leds.
What they call them is a different matter.
