Hi all
New to the forum, have been doing some searching online and google kept sending me to this site to find out what I needed so thought it good to join up!
Planning on proposing on 12th March to my GF of 6 years. Have placed booked, proposal sorted, little matter of ring now! Looked in some shops, had a look at rings but thinking of ordering certified online now that I know what I am talking about (roughly!).
I am wanting to get a 1 carat, round diamond in a 6 claw tiffany style setting. I have found the ideal setting on a UK website (diamondgeezer.com) and currently trying to find a suitable diamond. After my research I would like a G colour, 1 carat, VS2 clarity and hoping to bring in just under or around £5000 (UK pounds). From their range I think something will have to give in terms of cut, symmetry and polish as I am unable to get excellent in all of them.
So can anyone give any advice on ideal combination of these 3? Is cut more important - so go for excellent/ideal cut and then very good for polish and symmetry. is going down to a good not advisable?
Your help would really be appreciated folks, I thought I was in control but starting to panic a bit now!
