- Wife is about to have a baby in the coming days and I would like to have a pendant for her as a present following the birth.

I was thinking about the following BN package and am about to pull the trigger - but to be honest I am a newb and am a little unsure if this would be ok? Given the bezel holds a minmum size of 0.63 I guess I am shopping at the small end of the scale for this pendant size wise? But if anyone out there has experience with the platinum bezel from BN I would love some feedback. Also any feedback from the stone experts is appreciated!!

Diamond Pendant:

Your Diamond:
Very Good-cut, I-color, SI1-clarity, Round, 0.70-carat Diamond
Stock #: LD02444189

Your Setting:

Stock #: 5029
Chain Length: 18

I would go with a J color and go up in cut. I would go with a stone like this

Same carat weight but measures a lot larger because it is not bottom heavy

Here is a J pendant another pricescoper just bought so you can see the color

I'd def lower color for a better cut stone

The other thing you could do is call ID jewelry and talk to them. They have been putting some beautiful pieces together
at really reasonable prices. Tell them you are a PSer so you want a well cut stone that is eye-clean.

What is your budget?

Stick with Excellent cut grades.

Thanks for the quick feedback - I was about 2 seconds away from ordering my original choice ...... I really like the pictures you posted of the J color stone - perhaps I will indeed go back and go for the better cut. If I am getting a J should I try and have some fluorescence in the stone also?

Will try and only spend 2500 dollars. I then have to pay import taxes to Europe so total after these will be about 3000 for me. The earlier posting (platinum bezel and the 0.7c stone) was 2400 dollars.

Again thanks for the help and I will try and order in the next few hours !!

Here are a few more options :)

You can get a finished necklace such as below OR here are some nice stones from GOG and they can set you up with a great bezel setting

Here is one in Europe that I've had on my watch list for some time. It's at budget but you don't have VAT to pay (and you can make an offer on it). Vintage and STUNNING

This one is clarity enhanced BUT talk to GOG about it-for a pendant I personally don't see an issue as long as it still sparkles like mad and there is a HUGE price difference (think thousands).

Here is another nice one
