I have put off this decision as long as I can. Please help! I've installed "beadboard look" wallpaper around the lower 2/3rd's of three bathroom walls. Painted the first coat with Benjamin Moore "Super White" eggshell finish on the advice of the wallpaper dude -- BUT -- I'm having 2nd thoughts & wonder if I should use the quart of Semi-gloss I bought for the doors & trim for my 2nd coat NOW & just buy more semi-gloss for the doors & trim later.
For reference - all the trim in the house is semi-gloss white. The top third of the room will probably be a light lavender called "Beach Plum". The new sink is white undermount w/a polished glossy carrera marble top. All original 40's-ish antique chrome fixtures. New chrome antique style faucet. Bathtub/ Sink cabinet & toilet are white but more of an antique white so contrasts a bit.
SO: .... for the 2nd (final) coat:
SEMI-GLOSS (will highlight flaws more, but might make it look more like wood than wallpaper)
or
EGGSHELL (ignore the wallpaper guy's advice at my own peril)
I have to paint it today because the sink install could be tomorrow! I'm flip-flopping & sucking up all the available hours of the day. HELP!!!!!!!
