Upgrade

Hello All! It has been a while since I have posted. Everyone was so helpful with finding my engagement ring 7 years ago and I am looking for help with an upgrade. My current stone is a 1.53, F, SI1 (eyeclean), excellent cut (scored a 1.2 on HCA). We got my diamond from Engagement Rings Direct and can upgrade through them. The purchase price was $11,300. We would like to upgrade to about 2 carats and keep the price of the new diamond under $20,000. I noticed to do that I would have to go lower in color to probably a H. Would there be a noticable difference to me one it is set? Anyone have diamonds that they suggest I should ask Mark to pull for me?

Hi Jersey Girl I am a Jersey Girl also and I just met Mark and Chris last week when I brought my H color GIA stone to be regraded att gia. That being said. My H color (which is 3.66) I am only saying that because a larger stone should show color more...NOT SO MUCH... I have had my stone next to d, e and f and I can't really tell t he difference. Mine is also an EC so I don't know if you would notice in a RB more. I would have them pull G and H and see if you notice. Or stay local (where are you from in Jersey) and look at several GIA stones next to each other before you speak to ERD....They are a great choice espeically if they have an upgrade policy.
